They are the natural born protectors and prepared to sacrifice themselves towards whatever they are protecting. The smaller dragons are social butterflies, flitting about and befriending anyone they can find. The combination was odd at first but eventually the two came to an understanding. Guardians would protect these little faes, even if they were not their designated Charge. In this way the clan became closely connected, everyone a part of one large and protective family. The great guardian Waterwalker was the first leader of the Clan of Clear Water. Much like the name, she ruled with a clarity that was beyond crystal clear. The dragons who followed her knew that she always made the right choices for them and never allowed bias to judge her decisions.

When Waterwalker left her clan and joined the ranks of the exalted among the Tidelord, a skydancer by the name of Smeraldi took over. She was not born into the world of water and tides. Instead, she had grown up in the icy south and while she was not as open about herself as the first leader had been, she ruled justly as well. There were few instances in which the dragons in the clan doubted her and when it did occur, the problem was quickly resolved. She continued the legacy of great leaders in more than just how she ruled. The skydancer was also a warrior though she rarely fought as it was barely ever required of her. Knowing that the clan was protected by a dragon with a clear mind and a fierce blade, the Clan of Clear Water continued to live in happiness.

Towards the end of her reign, an instance occurred that tested the whole clan’s ability to stay connected and united. A new dragon by the name of Furen had joined their ranks. She had been from a small nature clan that was later revealed to be a clan filled with liars, traitors, and deception. When a jealous imperial named DarthMaul brought this to the attention of the whole clan, many dragons were wary of her. Her birth clan had trained her in the ways of deception and infiltration in order to gain insight into their clan and possibly take them out if the need arose. Many were wary of her but still others believed her story. She had abandoned her birth clan’s ways and wished to totally immerse herself in this new clan. Realizing that the situation was slowly but surely pulling the clan into two separate groups, Smeraldi gathered the clan and vocalized her opinion on the situation.

If Furen wished to remain with them then that was her choice. None of her previous actions had ever affected the clan or lead them to believe that she was a danger to them so there was no use in starting now. The dragons realized their mistake and apologized, immediately accepting the young fae wholeheartedly. DarthMaul was angered by the clan’s decision and vowed that she would one day reap revenge, but few believed her words. Previous situations of tension regarding the imperial had shown them that she was all bark and no bite. The Clan of Clear Water’s leader soon stepped down as the matriarch of the clan and allowed a younger dragon to take her place.

Aiwi had been born and raised in this clan and it would continue to be her home as she became their new leader. Due to her inexperience with such a daunting task as leading the clan, she received help from the previous matriarch and soon became a shining star. She excelled at her job and soon needed little help to run the clan. She was young and bright and offered new insights that the clan had not thought of to do before. The clan’s hoard grew and their wealth increased, bringing with it more happiness and prosperity.

Each of the Clan of Clear Water’s leaders have brought something special to it. Waterwalker was their first leader and her strength created a unified clan that would prove to stay with each other through many problems. Smeraldi and been a protector in more ways than one and had successfully defused a situation that could have torn them apart. Aiwi, the newest and the youngest, proved to be a vital addition and lead the clan to prosperity. She would not be the last leader and the leaders to come would add to the legacy of the Clan of Clear Water.
