Marina nodded, beginning to slowly hop down the little ledge. Once she got to the bottom, she would wait for Lux. She was used to jumping around on ledges and ruins, something she would do as a passtime. She'd sit down, half-expecting this to take a while. She had noted to herself that some of the larger rocks began to slip as she hopped off, so she would write it down in the rocky dirt. 'be careful, the rocks are uneven and unstable.'

He nodded at Joel's command. Well, he took it as a command, and he quickly turned around to trot off. Once he had gotten out of sight of Joel and the others, he had then went into a full on sprint. He wanted to get there as fast as possible. It was crazy that the Shade-Touched dragons had been able to spread so quickly. They spread like the desert, the longer it didn't rain, the more they took control off. It honestly scared him, and the fact he had never
really came face to face with one!
He ran faster. His wings would be useful at this point. It only they were bigger, then he'd be able to fly. He would make it so much faster if he flew. The thought made his heart sink. What if by the time he returned the shade had gotten to joel and the hatchlings? What is joel wasn't able to protect them? What if they died?!!
No. Joel was strong and fierce. He would never let one dragon defeat him. He could protect them. Even if he couldn't, it gave Archi more the reason to pick up his pace. And with that he sped through the forest. Dirt flew from his feet as he tore into the ground beneath him. He needed to hurry. They were in danger, all of the dragons on this island were in danger.

He opened his eyes to see Shimmer curled up next to him. The smell of fish caught his attention when he turned to look at the sky. He had been asleep for a while. He'd forgotten to eat anything. He felt grateful for having Shimmer as a familiar. She took care of him. He tried his best to quietly get up and began eating the fish. Then, again, went back to sleep. It was almost nightfall, so he might as well.
All his movement had woken shimmer, but just as she went to get up, he plopped down next to her again. And she did the same. Then, they both fell asleep, once more.

He looked at Vee, realising that he should make introductions. Lux wrote on the ground once more: "Marina, this here is my friend Vee. She is blind, so she cannot see you, but she was a great nose."
Once done, he motioned towards the crystal maned goaler beside him, hoping the message got through to Marina.
After righting the introduction to Marina he looked back to Vee once more. "Your able to guide us back to Joel, right?" he asked.
Vee nodded in reply. "I can still smell the trail we took," she confermed.

Marina nodded in response to the message. she'd wave hello to them, before patiently waiting to see what the others wanted to do. While she waited, she'd just quietly look around her, seeing if maybe some more grubs had crawled by. She thought the other dragons might be hungry by now, too.

After confirming with Vee that she could lead them back to Joel, Lux wrote in the dirt once more. "Vee will be guiding us back to where Joel is."
Vee started off slowly making her way, making sure that everyone behind her could still follow, yet also being careful with her paws since she was basically navigating through sound and scent alone.

Moukaite chuckled, her hoarse voice sounding if she had swallowed a bucket of sand. She stepped under Aeakcys’ wing as the two walked through the burning sands, sights set on the mysterious canyon somewhere ahead.
We’re so close... and then we can finally rest. Even as she thought this, she mentally flinched at herself, knowing she was avoiding the truth. She would never be able to rest, not as long as she couldn’t remember where she came from or who she was. She shook her mane, some sand spraying from the unkept fur as she tried to rid herself of the thought. She had to press on. Memories would only weigh her down...

Her eyes lit up with a fire brighter than the one that once lit the Great Furnace.

Mirroring Gale’s excitement and combining it with her own, a grin split her face like the Cracked Chasm as she thought of all the possibilities, all the ways she could obliterate the abomination that is the Shade, how much she wanted to
kill those shade touched,
and now they had a chance to! She could barely compose herself before replying.
“M’am, whatever the prophecy is, I’d like to be the first to volunteer to help see it through. I’d do anything to see the restoration of these lands and the end of the Shade!”

As Vee led the way for the small group of hatchlings, Lux decided it best if he took the rear. His ears perked and twitched, keeping his senses on alert just in case any predators came up on them. He stopped hear and there, listening to the sound of a dried leaf fall onto the forest floor, or a twig snap under the hoof of a deer that ran off.
Vee kept her focus on the scent trail, even with the dried twigs catching in her fur and making it uncomfortable as they prodded her side. Behind her, she could hear the footsteps of the others and they followed behind her. It wasn't too long before she caught the familiar scent of JoelJack and made their way into the clearing.

As the little Gaoler watched, she caught the sight of dried bushes shifting as small forms traveled under them. There was a small gleam, and she caught sight of Vee's sparkling mane.
"There back!" she squealed in delite as they made their way into the clearing. Scribbles was practically bouncing, but stopped as she remembered that she was being held in the crevice of Joel's horn.
