sketch shop here!
I may come back every now and then to adjust the history, but the idea is the same.

Name:
Nornd Alven
Species:
Demonic Werewolf
Age:
28
Gender:
Male
Sexuality:
Bisexual
Appearance:
Nornd height as a human reaches 5'9", though it's rare for him to be standing straight up. He has dark grey tangled hair which reaches halfway down his back and bangs that go down to his collarbone. He uses up to 7 different silver clips to hold back his hair to see, of which often comes undone overtime anyways. His eyes are a vibrant blue, of which seem to glow at night but produces no illuminating light to the surroundings. The clothing he wears is the remains of a white winter coat which has many holes and tears on the endings over a black, long-sleeved turtleneck. Underneath the fabric, he has a black collar with white dots as a pattern. It has a golden loop for a chain to connect at the very back. As for pants, they all share the same 3 characteristics: It was once white, the ends have been burned away, and it never goes above his knees. He avoids wearing any footwear besides black socks that in turn go up to his knees. Most of his other features are human, though his nails grow back noticeably faster than normal, and all of his teeth have more of an edge to them.

When he has transformed, his height - straight up - would be 6'6" but is usually around 5'2" for moving on all fours. His body is covered in the same dark grey fur that makes up his hair, but it turns silver when being possessed by Orochi. His claws and teeth are a pure white. His ears are naturally bent to the sides and pointed upward. His eyes are still a vibrant blue in this form, but it takes up the whole of his eyes rather than just the iris.

In both forms, his blood is initially a bright crimson red, but the longer it sits, the darker it becomes until it has changed to a dark blue rather than red.

Personality:
Not one for the longest replies in the universe, he's an outgoing one, naturally wishing to help those he comes across. He'll do everything in his power and own morals to accomplish the tasks he's given, feeling that if he can't do it, then no one else will. From this, he can be stubborn about the tasks he's given, and only accepts outside help or advice if he's fearing he cannot complete it. But if it's not involving that, he's quite gullible and trusting to anything that isn't actively trying to attack him or anything Orochi has made him be distrustful of. At night, he moves away from the most crowded areas, even better being somewhere completely secluded. His personality does a near full shift, becoming quite snappy and easy to enrage over the most ridiculous things. This is only worsened if Orochi is around him or possessing him.

History:
Nornd started out as a human in an age of our world's life when the deity's, gods, demons; everything was present, and actively affecting life in general. There's not much to say about his upbringing: the average household, average town, nothing interesting. Rarely did any phenomena happen, so it left the town relatively quiet in the loud world.

Despite his chances, this quiet life changed when he was 17. While he was out strolling the forest near his town, he came across a pond he'd never seen before despite walking this same forest for years now. The pond was a hidden gateway to the spirit realm, and Orochi happened to be lurking underneath its moss-ridden surface when he passed by. Orochi latched on this opportunity, and began to stalk Nornd through the shadows. Orochi's mass spiritual presence - and the abundant souls he's devoured and left attached to his body - caused phenomena to happen more often in his town than ever in it's history. All these happenings seemed to involve Nornd, and no matter how careful or thoughtful he was about it, something bad always happen around him. To make up for it, he made it his second-soon-to-be-first mission to help anyone who seemed to be distressed. He also willed himself to never give up, even if the situation only got worse overtime.

At 23, Orochi decided that Nornd was a good host for his plans, and came out of the shadows one night to kill him while he was taking another stroll in the forest alone. Orochi linked its broken soul with his, turning him into a Demonic Werewolf and reviving him. Nornd retained no memories of this and Orochi made sure to hide away the memories of his past life. In place of reality, and the fact he was now a servant of Orochi, he put near everything Orochi said above all else, even if the fact was staring him in the face.

Alas, Orochi's magic wasn't polished enough at the time to have Nornd assume complete submission to him. Because of this, Nornd isn't just a puppet of Orochi, still actively seeking out to help others like he did in his past, even more so after Orochi told him about what he was using Nornd for - albeight in the most watered down and "birds and the bee's" way possible.

While he was resting one day, waiting for the sun to pass so he could roam at night without being noticed so much, he awoke instead to being in Nexus. He didn't catch on very fast though, just thinking he slept somewhere else than planned. How incorrect he was...

Abilities:
~ Transforms into a werewolf
~ Has higher senses than a humans along with physical strength and endurance
~ Has some level of sense of spiritual beings. He can sometimes see spirits and the such if their body is cloaking in the glow of the moon.
~ Wounds heal faster the longer he's been out of his werewolf form, but the more often he uses it, the less he heals until it halts completely.

Weaknesses
~ His collar. Anyone who can manage to get grasp of it or any chain that's connected to the loop at the back, Even if it's not Orochi, he'll obey one way or another. He cannot attack anyone holding a chain connected to it, and it's possible to force him to transform out of his werewolf form and into it, but this is only possible at night.
~ Can only transform at night.
~ Because of Orochi, can be harmed by both physical and spiritual things. Spiritual damage to him is only visible when transformed or on Orochi, but he can always feel it. It heals slower than physical damage.
~ Orochi has his soul under its control. It can manipulate his memories, emotions, and actions long as he's in the area and holding onto Nornd's chain. Nornd can try to resist if it's not with his chain, but it usually doesn't work.

Other:
~ Can eat non-meat fine, just acts like it'll kill him.
~ Can be a daydreamer at times.
~ An explanation of his wish to make everything happy and dandy:
He thinks that anything he comes across that is alive has a soul/spirit of some kind, and when they die, that soul/spirit will either pass on or manifest back into this world. This depends on if they have unfinished business here or not. They won't be able to pass on until it's done, in tern this can become what troubles them, effectively trapping them here until their soul/spirit is harmed or eaten. If they're undead, he thinks they have unfinished business, and will try to find out what it is to help them pass on, even if they admit that's not the problem. I hope that explained it.

Name:
Orochi Noon
Species:
Nine-Tailed/Headed Shadow
Age:
197
Gender:
Male
Sexuality:
Asexual
Appearance:
By nature, Orochi is the combination of several lost pieces of a soul/spirit that were unevenly mashed together as a punishment, so inconsistencies with his form happen everytime he changes between corporeal and incorporeal.

His only physical form is of a humanoid draped in long and heavy dark blue clothing with a hood to hide most features of their face. Their skin is completely black, like an extreme shadow or black hole walking around. It has to visible depth or texture, and being touched by it feels like it's made of ice. No attempt at warming their body will work. No shadows are produced from his body either, no matter how close to a light he is. Lifting away the hood reveals a face only detailed with the outline of 2 eyes and a subtle line going from where both his ears should be. The mouth is already larger than normal, and when angry or yelling, it tends to seemingly detach and get longer. (like the Enderman). He does not wear socks or shoes, but his pants and upper clothing usually hide his limbs. Any harm to his body in this state will only show if it has broken the skin and caused bleeding, which a bright orange liquid will appear.

Their incorporeal form is usually dependent on who is viewing them if capable. While the main spirit will be doing its thing, the others will try to compensate for all that look upon it, trying to take a form that wouldn't seem too out of the ordinary for the area. If this is not an option, it often takes the form of a longer-than-normal fox with a black collar around its neck and base of tail. It's true form though, is the body of a humanoid mixed with a beast that has that collar around the base of its neck and tail again. Only now, several heads erupt from the base, all with varying features and a mask tied around their faces. 9 tails erupt from the base of one, constantly twisting around each other absently from the rest of the body.

It's incorporeal forms all have a slight transparency to them, with a tint of white over their body. Also, no matter what form or shape he has taken, he will always have 2 golden rings somewhere on his body, even if he doesn't have a tail.

Personality:
Orochi's personality is like his appearance - slightly inconsistent everytime it's brought up. But one things for sure - every spirit that makes up his 'conscience' has a great grudge against those who have a normal soul, especially humans who he believes more deserving of his punishment than he himself. Orochi's 'conscience' is just made up of the majority oppinion of all the spirits in the body. Despite this, it's usually hard to see his personality and the inconsistencies because he actively hides away from long conversations or being seen in general. He makes use of quick and snappy answers to try and deter people away from him, and if that doesn't work, there's always eating them. If he does have to prolonged exposure to a single individual, and cannot get rid of them easily, he'll try to have the 'dominant' spirit in the body take charge with conversing with them so they don't get suspicious of his ever changing thoughts. Though that's not usually the case, since he'll most likely order Nornd to take his place in explaining, Nornd making up an excuse as to why.

Even though Orochi is a walking headache for anything involved, he does know how to show other emotions and empathy to things. It's just rare, and usually only a few of the spirits would show it - not enough to make it his outward reaction unless they can see his true form. Nornd's personality has managed to rub off on him at times, usually only when Nornd's experiencing a strong emotion, causing this ever lump of grump to randomly cheer up then immediatly go back to being uninterested. Sometimes, Nornd manages to keep it up, and those are the moments that belong in history books.

History:
All of Orochi's soul/spirit pieces originated from the afterlife of the world Nornd also comes from. They all were punished under the term that they "needed to learn to share, for sharing is the heart and without it, you do not live". The creature that gave them this ruling also shoved together their souls, disregarding the fact that some of the pieces didn't fit at all. When he was done, he created it's true form, placing a ring at the base of its neck and tail. They all have their own head and tail, yet they have to share the same body.

Orochi was mostly in distress the first while of it's spirit life. None of the spirits could get along or figure out how to get the others to listen, some even didn't realise yet they were dead. It often spent years in the same place, leaving the shouts of various creatures to echo through the world of the living. Eventually one of the spirits was fed up with this life and forced all the other spirits to hush and stop their toiling. It was able to convince them that the only way this is going to work is if they at least majority-wise worked together.

They did, all the while expressing their envy towards other spirits that were weaker to them yet complete by eating them or latching them to its tails, lighting the way in that world. They, in combination, devoured thousands of spirits, and latched an equal amount to their body, basically becoming a giant beacon in the underworld - a false one. This caused a feedback loop to happen, where souls attracted to the light went towards Orochi and only added to its brightness. This continued until a certain spirit wandered to orochi. It had no physical power to speak of, but it was leaking with spiritual power that caused Orochi to shudder away from it at first.

That spirit was of a human Onmyouji, one who summons and controls spirits. He came to investigate the mass disappearance of souls and the appearance of a new beacon when he found Orochi. He asked Orochi what it was doing, and after complications of having each head answer him, he got his answer. He may not have agreed with how Orochi was going about this, but he offered to help ease it's situation.

He first taught Orochi some of the powers of an Onmyouji, mainly how to control energy and other smaller spirits - since it's not possible to reason with Orochi not to eat or use them in their abundance and his hate - so he can control his own body and ease the imbalance of his spirit, of which would of fallen apart by then if not for the rings the Judge gave them. He also taught Orochi quality of life things for a spirit of his power, like safely passing through the spirit and living realm and how to hide (most) of his spiritual presence from other creatures as not to cause widespread mayhem for no reason. Orochi is definitely not trustworthy, but even a spirit at his caliber would have to listen to an Onmyouji, else their wrath would be worse than any other god's (forthemostpartcough).

While under the watch of the Onmyoji, Orochi learned of the only "Onmyouji-Legal" way to fix his broken spirit, which required him to go to the living world. The Onmyouji made a deal with Orochi, of which they both already agreed to for the Omnouji to teach it such powerful skills for something like Orochi. As long as Orochi does not go on a rampage, and comes back to see the Onmyouji whenever it does finally fix its soul or it's punishment is up (in that case all of those spirits have to go see him), he won't and can't be punished by that Omnyouji or any other spirit wielders under the same spiritual rules. Only if Orochi steps on another's terf and causes trouble without reason can he be punished.

He bid final farewell to the Omnouji, and went to stalk the gates to the human world. First of all, he needed a host to latch to, since back then he couldn't hide his presence at all in a world like that compared to the spirit one. He happened to find a few, but they all died from his powerful presence and unstable soul. He just played with their walking corpses, ate their souls, and moved on. Then he found Nornd. He instead stalked him, instead of going all out and possibly killing another potential host.

He deemed Nornd worthy, and while the boy was alone in the forest one night, he sprung out from the shadows to kill him. He ripped his soul from his body, and chained it to his own. He then turned his body into something that would most definitely be able to handle Orochi and Nornd's own soul - a demonic werewolf. It was the easiest thing to do, since he technically was some weird cousin of werewolves already. He revived Nornd's body and allowed his soul to enter it.

Orochi has since used Nornd as a free ticket to the world of the living, hiding in Nornd's soul and body as he goes about life, nearly oblivious to what Orochi has done to his life. Orochi hopes that if he can perfect his arts, that he can use Nornd to complete his soul and escape his punishment.

One night, while he was asleep within Nornd's soul, Nornd was taken to Nexus with Orochi. He had no knowledge of this, as his sleeping is attune to being in a coma. He won't be happy when he finds out what happened though...

Abilities:
~ Easily controls smaller or weaker spirits.
~ Can shapeshift into familiar things, but it cannot be inanimate objects. He can put such on his body, but it can't be a cat with a portable bonzai on it's back unless.. there's a cat with a portable bonzai around.
~ Not affected by temperature when in a physical form.
~ While physical and in the presence of a natural light source (non magical or electrical), he can manipulate the shadows around it.
~ When incorporeal, can vanish from sight but cannot completely hide his presence (has a visible aura, the pressure of his existence can be felt, even the mutters of the spirits he's made of could be heard if it's quiet enough etc..)
~ Can speak telepathically, but this is more used to disrupt the enemy than actual communication for the amount of voices that would be shoved into their skull at that single moment.
~ Can heal spiritual wounds on himself, but fails to do so on others for the disorganized mess that is his overall consciousness. This can also fail of he's not concentrated enough.

Weaknesses:
~ Orochi is made of up several different spirits. It's thought process is always shattered no matter how unison it may be acting. Because of this, some of the things it can manage easily one day can be hard another if no one is focusing.
~ Despite what it may seem, Orochi is very susceptible to magic, especially from the living. He's built a resistance to those who are already dead, he only recently started taking a physical, living form.
~ He cannot eat or drink normal food. He'd rather still eat spirits and drink the water found in his relm than anything else. If that's not available, he just saps the energy from Nornd. Even that's not enough sometimes.
~ Sleeps irregularly. Sometimes, a couple heads just fall asleep while the others are awake, leaving him functioning partially if in a physical form. The more heads that are asleep compared to awake, the worse his coordination and ability to accurately speak becomes. This is most notable in a physical form, where it seems he's about to pass out. It's possible to single out one of the spirits by having it stay away and the rest asleep, but communicating with just it can be hard if it's in physical form.
~ Can go 5 days, 7 at most, before it has to fully rest. It will go incorporeal, possess Nornd for a moment, and go to sleep inside his soul. Only something that is also a spirit/soul can reach him inside Nornd, but waking him up is impossible. If he's gone more than 7 days without doing this, he's likely to just pass out on the spot and leave himself vulnerable for a few hours.
~ While in a physical form, his magic abilities are severely weakened. Anything that can affect him affects him worse than normal while in this form for he's not used to it and doesn't understand how it affects physical bodies compared to an incorporeal spirit.
~ If it's ever possible: if none of the spirits inside Orochi can agree on what to do - he will freeze in place and stop moving. This is more noticeable when he's not in his true form, since you would be able to see the heads bickering and nipping at each other. He's only capable of acting when the majority agree, and so he'll stay frozen like that until they agree on something, even if he gets attacked or would be in danger if he didn't move.
~ Being a subspecies of Shadow (my species), he can be poisoned, killed (temporarily), and afflicted by a disease while in a physical form or body. If the host he may be possessing is killed, their body will go pale then fade to black in a pile of ash as he leaves it. This will harm him spiritually, and he won't be able to possess someone other than Nornd for a long while.
~ There's a cooldown between possessing others that's not Nornd. Disregarding this cooldown can cause tears to appear on his soul, leaving him distressed and completely useless until it fixes itself. Because of this chance vulnerability, he usually sticks with manipulating Nornd to do his things, which works.

Other:
~ Speaks normally in a physical form, but can abruptly stop doing so if the spirits have a mentality shift. This happens quite often.
~ The memories of each head aren't shared among them all, but they're often all awake so this discresency doesn't appear often.
~ Each head's appearance is slightly different from the others.

(I'm working on finishing this.)

Name:
Eden Ebony Eres
Species:
Human Onmyouji
Age:
19
Gender:
Male
Sexuality:
Undecided
Appearance:
Eden has very long, straight, black hair flowing down from his head. It's been compared to pure silk growing from his head, and is oddly reflective of light. No matter how bright it is around him, the brightest refraction his hair makes is just a bit lighter shade of black, making it stand out badly in any environment. He has tied it back into 2 strands at the base of his neck, of which conjoin at the bottom in 2 bright sapphire orbs. Without taking precautions, he'll always wake up with the most monstrous bed-head ever seen. His skin is also quite pale, making him appear a bit sickly. Sadly for him, there's no way he can hide being embarrassed or flustered.

Outside of anything spiritual-related, he tries to keep his clothing casual for the world he's been shoved into - he gets dragged along by spirits a lot - so he'll change to fit the setting. He normally wears a long dark brown sleeved robe with dark red patterns on its edges. Underneath, he has a simple dark grey long sleeved undershirt which further hides the necklace which holds The End, The Beginning, and The Continuation. Each is a stone engraved into its metal surface which gives him his oddly effective powers for a part time Onmyouji with ancestral problems. His pants can range from shorts to pants that cover his feet and cause him to fall on his face depending on the temperature of wherever he's sleeping, and not how it's going to be later or is outside.

{Insert link to Onmyouji outfit here}

Personality:
"Respect comes first" is a rule he does his best to uphold. Most everything he works with is hundred to thousands times his own age, and the last thing he needs is a giant spirit rampaging because a "mortal child called me 'yo'." When meeting a stranger, even if it is a newborn, he will speak to them like they are of a higher rank than him. He will loosen up around those he's been around, and those he can prove aren't secretly some powerful spirit walking around the mortal realm or or a spirit who can effectively kick him across the pacific if they wanted to. Sometimes though, he isn't sure about some, so he'll continue to speak to them as if he's still just met them. There's a clear difference when he's around those he does know well, and even the rare few who can stand his antics. He'll completely drop the suburbanite wording, the most formal he'll ever get again would be ma'am and sir - albright he uses it jokingly so it's lost its meaning - replacing it with indifferent wording like 'yo' and 'dude'. If not for his appearance and endlessly-existing soul, he'd fit pretty well in any crowd of people.

History:
His soul is one endlessly locked in reincarnation. Sometimes from past existences casting spells to keep it going, others not wanting to die, and yet some where gods were so happy or disgusted that they just threw the soul in another body and kept it going. Very little is passed down between each new holder of the soul, but sometimes their memories or abilities can get passed down. The most recent few happened to all be magic wielders, albeit very different in their ways. The 3rd was just an average practicer, of a world that only recently discovered this power. The 2nd was one who gave up their sanity for the power of the Necromancy and the Goddess behind it. His actions would affect the descendents for many eons, and the current holder is the one before you now, some guy who's initials are E.E.E. As much as he wishes to die and punch whoever left him with the hate of so many gods and spirits, he's learned to live with it and just follow whatever may come.

Because of his constant limbo with the supernatural, he couldn't ever get used to one place, and couldn't keep connections with others if they couldn't pass through the spirit realms. He may never have dropped his painfully respectful smile, but he did keep quite a distance from anyone he met, no matter how friendly or trustworthy they were.

His whole life, since being able to stand and read, has been to get rid of the hatred his lifeline has caused with the gods and spirits while keeping the peace between said things and the living. The exact number of things he has to repay is not known, but a few are very consistent and are a constant worry for him when he's around mortals and even weaker spirits for their safety if the thing chooses to appear. Most have the decency to just mentally harass him, but there's specifically 2 that will always physically come to see him, and refusing that arrival will just add to the list of things he'll have to fix. But even with this risk,

Abilities:
~ Can bind spirits or souls to himself as an Onmyouji. This is only used for calming the soul/spirit down and letting it actually hear the one who binded them. After a set amount of time, unless applied again, the bind will break on its own. This also only works on souls/spirits without any physical attachments. Having the soul/spirit's self binded to another's soul does not stop this from happening.
~ Can freely pass to the universes' spiritual realm and out of it, even with a physical body. This is quite tolling though, so he usually hides himself away from the public eye and then goes to the realm.
~ Can generate a barrier to negate large-scaled spiritual attacks. Has no effect on attacks that don't have a large range.
~ Mental attacks usually end up only one end result with Eden: confusion. Sure, you got his attention pulled for the moment, but he just gets confused from them.
~ Good sense of direction, especially if it involves the exits of any area.
~ Can see and sense the soul/spirits of others or an aura they emit, if any.
~ Can use spiritual attacks/knows how to fight spirits. This can range from turning a physical weapon temporarily spiritual, or using a more conventional fan or short, small and pointy object. (I'm leaving this vague because writing every specific would be a bore. It's like using fire/water/life/etc magic, but it's just affecting spirits.)
Can allow himself to be possessed by other spirits to gain their benefits, as below:
~ Uuni of The End can greatly increase his spiritual power and make him null to the pain he feels from attacks, but it leaves him mostly in a berserk like state that in itself leaves painful wounds on himself from where the thing entered his body.
~ Bliss of The Beginning can quickly heal physical or spiritual wounds, but it can't help if your arm is cut off. Spiritual wounds also often end up with Eden losing consciousness for a while. Bliss isn't always cooperative.
~ Hur'khite of The Continuation gives Eden the powers of a Timewalker, who can slow/stop time for a few seconds to disorient an opponent. It can also make a physical being completely immune to physical attacks and walk through buildings. It also adds the toll of a Timewalker, draining the possessed-'s current life force while setting a literal ticking time bomb on their soul. If they don't stop using this power within the time the clock on their body says, they will be punished and be unable to use it again until said clock resets at 12, if they even live through the spiritual trauma of the event.

Weaknesses
~ Doesn't enjoy admitting it, but he basically functions from sugar. He has a decent history of being able to find sugar in the oddest of places, but his worst moments is when he crashes from it in the middle of doing something. It's easy to think he just dropped dead right then for how long it takes him to move again. Heck, take his vitals - he probably did just die and got revived.
~ The spirits that reside inside his necklace are not nice to anything, like 3 different variety's of Orochi. They will often attack him
~ Can be harmed just as easily by spiritual attacks as physical ones. Onmyouji tend to have a resistance to them, but Eden has yet to get used to it.
~ Susceptible to spiritual pressure / changes in gravity. If the change is too great, he'll just collapse.
~ Is mostly useless after letting any spirit possess him willingly, no matter how weak it is. Specific effects vary greatly, but most the time, he'll be wishing he hadn't needed to do it, and will go sulk in a corner until he passes out.

Other:
~ May be a bit too dependent on sugar.
~ The 3 spirits in his necklace are Uuni, Bliss, and Hur'khite. It is one of the punishments he bears for his past life's actions.

{Insert link to Onmyouji outfit here}
