Shae took a deep breath listening to the latest spat between Elaine and Lyssa, before standing up and sliding out of the booth. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and looked right at Lyssa, having had enough of the hostile back and forth between the two. "Since were asking each other things could you please remove the chip in your shoulder you walked in here with? I highly doubt That funny little mink, is it a mink or weasel Elaine, has parasites or she'd be more concerned about them."

He huffed after his speil looking at the others, and grabbing his things as well as Sadie's leash, stuffing his hands into his pockets. "Where do we meet up Elaine?"

Julie was distraught. After doing so much research, finally tracking down her closest living relative, she came across the truth. It was a huge slap in the face, a massive middle finger to how she'd lived her entire life. She still couldn't even fathom how she could be punished for something she wasn't even involved in so long ago. There had to be something she could do.. some way to cure this or fix this. Her mom and Julie had worked themselves nearly to the bone to get her to this point in her life. It wasn't fair for all of that to be dashed because of something she had no control over.

Honestly at this point Julie was starting to hate witches. She knew how cruel the salem witch trials were for their kind.. and how many of them had been burned alive or treated like garbage. But that still in her opinion, gave them no right to curse entire generations of families. The few witches she'd gone to in an attempt to remove the curse had hissed at her like she was some kind of monstrosity. One had even jumped out the window as if she'd been bit. This was starting to get a bit irritating to her at this point.

She ran a hand through her blonde hair, feeling it catch on her fingertips a bit and letting out an annoyed breath as it yanked on her scalp. She carefully untangled the knot before throwing her hair into a sloppy updo, not caring to make herself presentable.

She just needed to find another way. Any other way to get what she needed so she could go on living her life like a normal person. She squinted slightly, adjusting her glasses as she saw a man and a child, and another man approach them. It seemed they were talking about something.. not that it was any of her business. But that little girl... she certainly didn't look like either of the men.. which lead Julie to believe that perhaps she wasn't related to either of them. Adopted? or a niece or nephew. it really wasn't any of her business. Still, she felt a bit nervous about the whole ordeal and bought a paper off the street so she could hang around and watch them for a while without suspicion. Maybe.

Lyssa sucked in a breath through her teeth. While she didn't understand the beginning part of Elaine's latest insult, Lyssa knew that it couldn't have meant anything flattering. She was itching to buy a cup of coffee just so she could dump it on the insolent girl. Flexing her fingers, eyes filled with malice, Lyssa steeled her resolve and clenched her teeth to keep silent. Even she had to concede that, at this point, trying to get the last word in against Elaine would be pathetically futile.

However, that didn't mean that the mild voice of the Brewer wasn't able to eek a response from her. "Maybe I will if you mind your own damn business." she growled. Lyssa had to bite her tongue to keep herself from adding any insulting names to the end of her response, no matter how tempting it was. After all, Brewers and Breakers had to work together quite often to keep their fellow witches from dying and even she knew that it wouldn't do anyone, even herself, any good to drive away the one Brewer in the Coven. Turning away from Shae, Lyssa made sure to hang back from the rest of the group. She didn't want to be next to Elaine and her devil-noodle, preferring stay towards the procession's tail end.

Lyssa had finally resigned herself to her fate, but still planned on whining when the opportunity arose. With a quick pat against her pocket, Lyssa made sure that she still had her wallet. If they were going to the Black Market, she might as well get something for herself and, if she was feeling generous, her mother. Despite the woman's hefty involvement in getting Lyssa all tangled up in the Coven business, her mother was likely the only ally she'd find for quite some time and it would be hard not to appreciate that.

Fire.

That's all Lancelot sees in his mind before he goes to sleep. That endless pile of ash of what was left of his childhood. Was knowing the truth worth it?

~*~

Lancelot sighed to himself as he sat in a train, watching the landscapes zip by. It had been a while since Lancelot reached the big city. A world of lights and wonder, this concept interested Lancelot. He raised an eyebrow to a young fellow looking at him. The man looked away.

Some may describe Lancelot in one word... Odd. Even the way we was sitting piqued the interest of those around him. He sighed to himself again. He put his earbuds in. Ahh, the soothing sensation of music. It calmed him in almost any situation....

The train came to a stop.

"We're already here..?"

Lancelot sighed, taking out his earbuds. He stood, looking to the boy.

"Stay in school."

Lancelot walked off the train into the station. He looked to the wall, with big letters saying: WELCOME TO NEW YORK CITY!

He smiled to himself. Here in this city of wonders, he could understand himself better, and what he is. Lancelot walked out of the station and into the great beyond, unknowing of what awaited him.

(sorry it took me a while to start! I've been sort of busy lately!)

Cassidy frowned at the man, who was named 'Oliver.' She didn't know exactly what a priest did, but she had once heard they lived only in churches, and they didn't eat, sleep, or drink, but prayed daily to live. Or was it that they ate prayers?
She didn't know much at all.
Cassie also didn't know if all she had heard was true, since she had only heard so little, and had never asked her Nana about priests.
"Is it true that priests live in churches only? And that they eat prayers to survive?" She asked seriously, her brow furrowing as she thought about how priests lived.

Suddenly, she realized that she was sporting poor etiquette. Using what Ms. Sylvie had taught, her she stuck out her hand so that Oliver would shake it.
"Nice to meet you Mr. Oliver!" Cassie exclaimed.
Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a blonde haired woman sit down not to far away from them. She didn't give the woman a second glance however, as she was determined to know whether priests ate everyone's prayers.

She glanced at Hayley, wondering if he would scold her from talking to Oliver, since he had looked suspicious of the strangely clothed man.
Cassie also stole a look at Fudge, who seemed to be keeping a sleepy eye on her. She gave her cat a small smile, thinking that he was being a vigilant and intimidating protector, rather than a tired old feline.

((Sorry this took so long to get out! I was being very lazy lol))

Oliver felt wary of sharing anything right now lest whatever listened in was not quite benevolent. A soft ring of a voice hung in his mind, pressing him forward. That voice comforts him when he is glum, whatever or whoever it was. A light in a tunnel it has been throughout his life. It seems to rear its head when he needs it most, cooling any temper that might flare in him to a dull boil, usually. The little girl frowned in contemplation. Her questions were strange as well. A silly little girl is not the worse thing he could imagine meeting today. It certainly not what Oliver was expecting though.

Before Oliver could reply to the girl, she blurted her own greeting of sorts. "You as well." He replied with as much kindness as he could at the time. He felt like he was back home for a moment as he talked to the little girl. His thoughts and the ring drew him back to the present though, to his mild dismay. "Not all of us live in our churches, no." Oliver explained. He didn't know why he needed to answer the next question though. There were only a few things he imagined could eat a prayer but he was not one of them and the other two are rare in this day an age. "I don't eat prayers." He added slowly. Every few moments, he turned his gaze to the man beside the girl, wondering why he delayed and what he delayed against. His eyes passed over a woman far off watching them curiously. From the distance between them, Oliver could see very little, even of her sin.

Oliver looked about, attempting to appear casual while scanning the area. He still could not find the source of his uneasiness. Verses of various prayers he has learned kept swimming through his mind and he could almost feel something else poking at them. The Ringing voice spoke alongside his own as he thought to himself. He rubbed his rosary between his fingers, hoping to have it do something to undo some of his discomfort, even if only for a short time. It seemed to be working at least.

((I hope to hear from Hayley soon.))

Hayley's mind had already checked out. He did not care what the priest had to say, rather he was extremely judgmental that he would stop to talk to them. It was no mere coincidence in any form of the word. Not to mention he had quickly caught onto the new creep glancing at them from behind a newspaper - something that had easily upset him considering they were already one stranger in too deep.

That stranger being himself.

Although he had an urge to, he did not scold Cassie. Kids would be kids and there was no holding that against her. However, he would make the decision to not introduce himself - too much was happening for him to put his faith in a man in black.

Slowly getting to his feet, Hayley brushed off his knees and stood his full height, though a bit sore from crouching. Noose quietly waited in the back of his head, her presence known to him, but her mouth completely silent. It seemed as if she wanted things to play out for themselves rather than spoiling the outcome. "Cassie, we should probably get food soon. I don't want you to get home too late after it gets dark." As he was saying this his gaze was trained directly on the priest, unwavering and unemotional yet slightly threatening. It was unnerving to say the least.

"I am your guide, Lancelot D'Alucifen. You may have been traumatized, but now is the time to run. You are.. different than the other humans.

Lancelot looked up with teared eyes, nodding.

"O-Okay."

-~-

Lancelot looked around the city of tall skies, smiling to himself. He took a deep breath in.. Immediately coughing from the smoke. He sighed to himself.

"Oof."

He walked forward.

"Where to first? The empire state building? Central Park? Oh! I kno--"

Lancelot heard a loud grumble. He looked down to his stomach, and sighed.

"Or maybe a bite to eat."

Lancelot decided to walk around until he felt something... funny. Something odd was happening in a certain direction, he could just sense it. He turned, with a tilted head, and headed in that direction. He walked for about a half an hour until he stopped. He turned to his right, eyeing a store...

"KitCat's Bubbles, Brews, & Coffees... What a peculiar name." Lancelot said out loud.

He shrugged to himself. Maybe they had snacks too. Lancelot opened the door and entered the "Café"

Just as Elaine was about to exit, a boy crashed into her as she was going out. With an aggressive squeak from Mitz before he performed a graceful escape leap, and Chichi letting out a shocked hiss before wrapping protectively around her neck which only worked to choke her. Elaine was stumbling back with curses raining from Germany flying out of her mouth as she tugged at Chichi to release her from his death hold. She might have been able to avoid all of this if her attention wasn't diverted at the last minute by Lyssa snarling at Shae of all people.

Finally getting the infernal creature off of her neck, she held the mink by his scruff and rubbed her throat while squinting at the guy with only a slight bit of rage dancing in her eyes. "Sorry... I wasn't really paying attention." Her pride seemed to straighten up a little as she was able to keep the annoyance out of her tone, and sounded almost pleasant.

Turning back to the group, she pointed at Lyssa. "Lets go sweet cheeks. I want to check out some shops before the Market fully opens it doors. Also will meet up at the front gate of the Market Shae." Noticing that the dreamer seemed to be lost in her dreams again, Elaine called out to her once again. "Do you want to come with us now Katie, or you have a quick run to do too?" She asked while Chichi twisted in her grip before managing to drop to the floor and sniff around the guy she bumped into. Mitz watched from a table close by with his forever disapproving eyes for the mink.

"If we're going to be in a coven together I think it is my business especially about something that could effect everyone in the coven. I mean fighting with each other is dangerous and could cause problems when a clear mind is nessacary." Shae hummed softly trying to figure out a good example, playing with his fingers. Shae looked at Elaine going to check on her after the choked by Chichi incident.
