An island off somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle. Undiscovered by the world it is home to Human and dinosaur alike. They live in peace and harmony - mostly.
You were a passenger aboard a cruise ship, The Aquarius, that entered a terrible and sudden storm. Unfortunately, the cruise ship was damaged and started to take on water. You and some others entered a lifeboat and that was the last time you saw your ship.

A few key things you will need to know for this RP are below.
About the humans of Dinotopia:
- They are all vegetarian. No meat, milk or eggs. They don't carry weapons and as a result do not hunt.
- Those who choose to can become partnered with a dinosaur, Their saurian life partner. This is often done before hatching in some cases.
- Humans that arrive on Dinotopia are called Dolphin backs. This term is given to anyone that arrives on the island weather or not an actual Dolphin helped them there.
- There are many occupations on the island. Some of the more well known are Hatchery workers and Skybax Riders.
- Outsiders, a group of people that don't like living with the Dinosaurs live in an old castle on the edge of the ocean. They hunt dinosaurs and call them Scales or Scalies. A derogatory term.
About the Dinosaurs of Dinotopia:
- Not all Dinosaurs can speak english.
- Not all carnivores are out to eat you, such as Ceratosaurus. It survives mostly off fish.
- Tyrannosaurus rex, Giganotosaurus, Cryolophosaurus, and Carnotaurus are definitely out to eat you. Also Pteranodon's in some cases.
Dinotopia:
The people of dinotopia are all the children of shipwrecked souls from all over the world and as such there is a mix of fashion styles, art, language, and architects.
Machinery in the current sense is frowned upon. Dinotopians see little use for cars or computers, radios or TV's. For communication, messenger dinosaurs or messenger birds are sent.
There are many villages and towns on Dinotopia but the main cities are Waterfall City and Sauropolis. Waterfall City, a massive city built on a massive waterfall, is by far the most busiest city and Dinotopia's capital is Sauropolis and is Roman based in design. Canyon City is home to the Skybax riders and is carved into the sides of the canyon.
Sunstones are the power-source of Dinotopia. They provide protection to the island by amending a high-pitched sound when placed in a sunstone holder that keep the Carnivores inside the Rainy Basin and the Pteranodons in the lower half of Canyon City. All towns and cities own a sunstone for protection

His parents decided to send him on a tear long trip around the world to improve his knowledge of other cultures but the ship he was on sank. He, and several others, escaped onto a life boat.
