Nightswift was pinned down, by what she couldn't tell, but she couldn't move as Wintersong snarled at her before turning to the mass of little bodies in front of them. Hatchlings all wrapped around one another, sleeping soundly. Nightswift tried to yell, to wake the little ones and make them run, or to plead Wintersong to leave them be. She could not speak though.

A warm light suddenly came up was Tremblecliff, he ran off Wintersong and laid down next to her, apologizing for not believing her. That she had done the right thing though to seek a safe place for the young ones...

*****

Nightswift began to murr and twitch at the nightmare, muttering in her sleep. "No... please... No don't..." She moved and wiggled until her head came to rest next to Heartwind's leg. The hair on her leg permeating Nightswift's dream, shifting it. She slowly stopped twitching and relaxed once more. "Tremble...cliff... forgive...me..." she murmured once more before speaking no more

Greystorms mind was filled with multiple thoughts. They buzzed about, creating a muddled mess in his brain. Faint shafts of light reached out to him, but he was rooted in the depths of his mind.
"Aurawing..." he thought distantly, a distorted image of a black and blue dragon emerged form his pool of thoughts. Concentrating, the image grew clearer, defining a guardian female with ambitious green eyes. The wing membranes were a deep blue that reminded him of luminescent mushrooms that lit in the night. The mushrooms always gave him a sense of comfort when he was a hatchling. A warm feeling spread thorough him reaching his wing tips and tail. With an immense effort, he opened his eyes. He quickly shut them as bright rays of sunlight filtered through a crack in the branches (I'm not sure what the medicine den is like). Greystorm could feel and still see the light through his closed eyes. Cautiously, he opened his left eye and it adjusted to the small amounts of sun until it was fully open. He then opened his right, in which combined, gave away where he was: the medicine den.

Darksong looked at the tree. "Not that one." She cautioned. "It has large branches, yes- but see how old it is? It may be leaf-fall, but many of those branches would be bare through Sun-reign as well. Dead branches might break under your weight, especially as you grow bigger, so always try to watch out. At the same time, a younger tree might not have big enough branches, or may only have climbable branches low enough that your enemies can still leap to you."
She flicked her tail around the forest. "Can you see another tree that might be better?" she asked, waiting to see if her Dragonlet would consider what she had said.

@AuroraLights

Heartwind looked down at Nightswift, worried. Was she okay?
Her ears twitched as the smaller dragon spoke in her sleep. Tremblecliff? The rose coloured dragon though back to the last gathering she had been at and remembered him. A tawny fighter, he was the beta of Lightclan. 'What happened with her Beta?' The tundra dragon wondered, and gently licked the top of Nightswift's head. "It's okay." She murmured, hoping to calm her from her nightmare.

@AkakoWolf

Simmerclaw paced the camp. It was too late to go out on patrol again, which meant there wasn't much left to do until the rest of the clan returned to camp.
He glanced over at the healer's den as he heard someone stir.
He walked over and peered inside, seeing Greystorm rising. "You're awake." he said. "That's good- without our healer around to help you we weren't sure if you were going to get better."
He was blunt but honest, and sat down just inside the rocky hollow's entrance. Spiky branches protected the mouth of the den. "You weren't awake- Aurawing had her naming ceremony with Huntwing and Rosewing. They're Dragonlets now."
The grey defender was unusually talkative, but he was all too aware of how Greystorm was feeling at the loss of his mate to the plague, after Simmerclaw had lost his hatchlings.

Very rare, only happened twice in his life. Once when he was a dragonlet and once before the Plague hit) he was able to find a safe place to hide out until the plague ravaged the land. He was a selfish creature and did not bother to attempt to warn any other dragon. Partly because he was afraid no one would listen and partly because he imagined the end result being more treasure for him to keep to himself. Other: Joined up with the clan after getting into a fight with another Defender (back when he was a loner). They had seen his fighting skills and thought he would be of good use. Hailstorm decided to comply. Might as well right? Strength in numbers. Class: Fighter Looking for a mate: No Pregnant: No

Hey @riptide ! Welcome to the clan. I'm thrilled that you've shown interest in the RP, but there are a couple things I'd like to go over about your character. :)

Unfortunately, I'm not letting characters have special powers in this RP, as I feel it could lead to powerplaying, mary sues/gary stus, and other roleplay encumbrances.

In addition, because we have already started the RP, your character needs to fit in with what has already been established. Darksong would not invite a strong rogue to join the clan- she would flay him and drive him out of their territory.
The reason why she hates outsiders is precisely Hailstorm's personality- (I'm just reading from your description with this)- he is selfish with little to no clan loyalty.

Currently, there isn't room for any more adult dragons to join the clan, because of the way we have started, and the other roleplayers that have taken those roles already.

If you're interested in joining, let me know and I'll send you a message so we can figure out a way to get you a character that can fit into the clan. :)

Aurawing looked around at all of the seemingly identical tree trunks. She gulped nervously as she walked slowly among them, being careful not to stray too far. She looked at their branches, willing herself to pick the right one. She stopped at the base of one, its mere presence towering above her. It didn't seem to old, and the branches were thick enough at both the base and the tip. She turned to her mentor, and gestured towards the tree. "This one?"

@DalphiaRose

Rowanstrike nodded to his Dragonlet. "Okay Rosewing, time for your first lesson. Let's see how well you can strike this stick." Rowanstrike walked into the middle of the clearing, carrying a large stick in his teeth. He dug it into the ground and gestured for Rosewing to come over. "Now Rosewing, I want you to strike this stick as best you can. Be strong, but not reckless. You can't risk injuring yourself in a battle."

[@riptide

Hey there! Welcome to the clan. :)

@DarkHunter

This is just a random thought, but maybe riptide's character could be one of Nightswift's new hatchlings when they hatch?]

Darksong nodded encouragingly. "Much better. Now, for climbing- how should you start?" she quizzed the Dragonlet. She was trying to get her apprentice to figure out as much as she could on her own- if she needed help along the way Darksong would step in, but even on her first day it was important for Aurawing to start thinking like a Defender.
