((Is it okay if I do first person? If not, I'll edit this to be third person.))
I landed with the rest of the flock in a oak tree. I was currently in the form of a black raven with red eyes, but I was flying with a murder of crows. They didn't seem to mind my intrusion too much. I stretched my wings as I landed, getting rather tired of flying. We had first entered this strange forest yesterday and we had only stopped twice. I was hungry, too. My comrades didn't seem to share the sentiment, however. Now that I think of it, actually, I don't think I've seen these birds eat anything since I joined them. I turned to scrutinize them when I noticed they were all staring intently at a spot in the distance. While I was beginning to think that these weren't normal crows, I nevertheless turned to see what they were looking at.
My eyes widened when I saw a good-sized mansion off in the distance. There were several people, maybe-people, and definitely-not-people standing around the front entrance. I especially liked the style of the red thing with bug wings. Maybe I'd take a page out of his book sometime. When I noticed that some of them were going inside, a thought occurred to me; maybe they'd have food! Much better that turning into a cat and eating one of these weird crows, at least.
I launched myself off the branch, not noticing the murder of crows suddenly take off in the opposite direction. Right before I exited the thick of the forest, I swelled just slightly in size to make myself more noticeable. I landed on a windowsill above the door and waited for someone to notice me. Or mention food. You know, whichever came first.
