((Is it okay if I do first person? If not, I'll edit this to be third person.))

I landed with the rest of the flock in a oak tree. I was currently in the form of a black raven with red eyes, but I was flying with a murder of crows. They didn't seem to mind my intrusion too much. I stretched my wings as I landed, getting rather tired of flying. We had first entered this strange forest yesterday and we had only stopped twice. I was hungry, too. My comrades didn't seem to share the sentiment, however. Now that I think of it, actually, I don't think I've seen these birds eat anything since I joined them. I turned to scrutinize them when I noticed they were all staring intently at a spot in the distance. While I was beginning to think that these weren't normal crows, I nevertheless turned to see what they were looking at.

My eyes widened when I saw a good-sized mansion off in the distance. There were several people, maybe-people, and definitely-not-people standing around the front entrance. I especially liked the style of the red thing with bug wings. Maybe I'd take a page out of his book sometime. When I noticed that some of them were going inside, a thought occurred to me; maybe they'd have food! Much better that turning into a cat and eating one of these weird crows, at least.

I launched myself off the branch, not noticing the murder of crows suddenly take off in the opposite direction. Right before I exited the thick of the forest, I swelled just slightly in size to make myself more noticeable. I landed on a windowsill above the door and waited for someone to notice me. Or mention food. You know, whichever came first.

"Well, yeah! I make lots of machines to help me out. I could show you guys sometime if you like." He grinned at both of them before looking back up at the house. "There sure are a lot of us that are going to be living here. Think we'll have to pick room mates or anything?" He wondered aloud.

Jake narrowed his eyes at Amy, reading more into her greeting than was there. He didn't trust this place and he certainly didn't trust anyone here - he'd learnt over the years that it was the best way to keep safe. Not that his trust cant be won, it just takes some time.

Cody, however, has no such reservations. 'Hi! My name's Cody,' he threw a dismissive hand at Jake. 'Silent Bob back there is Jake. Don't mind him.' He smiled, a genuine smile, and threw his hands in his pockets, adopting a trying-to-but-failing-to-be-cool kind of pose. 'Yeah we were just hoping for a place to rest - been a while since we had a roof over our heads!'

While Cody was busy socialising with Amy, Jake stood, arms folded, gaze set on the forest from which they came. He avoiding making eye contact with anyone - that would mean socialising - and remained quiet, listening the the conversations of those around him. There didn't seem to be anything too alarming - there certainly were some strange characters here, and while Jake did his best not to judge, they did make him a little uncomfortable. But, none of them seemed to be working with the Wolves, so maybe staying at this mansion was the wisest course of action.

'Oh, cool.' Said Cody, walking into the foyer. With a bit of reluctance, Jake followed. The manor had a sophisticated look; it was neat and the furniture tasteful. Jake found himself examining the artwork on the walls, trying to guess what era they were from. Where those Romantic works? Zack would know. He'd have to ask when they got back.

'Pretty cool, huh?' Cody said, taking in the splendor of the manor with wide eyes. 'Hey, does anyone know the way to the kitchen? I'm so hungry I could eat a horse. As long as it was cooked though. And it was a chicken.'

Irix felt someone tug on her wrists, just enough to stop her fall and let her regain her balance, and ask "A-are you alright?" Irix turned to see a boy with messy gelled blonde hair, blue eyes and... were those pointed ears? At least this was a little closer to her comfort range.

"Yeah, I think so..." she said, shrugging off the fall and smiling back. "Thanks so much for making sure I didn't fall over. I'm Irix, by the way."

----

Kris stood back from the interaction. He didn't want to interfere, so he quietly slipped away from the pair while they weren't looking. He jogged easily up the steps and tried to duck away from human contact by sidling up to the door and peering cautiously in, though all he could see was darkness lit by the daylight streming in from the doorway.

"Curiouser and curiouser..." he muttered, half-grinning with the adventure of it all. It brought back memories... not good ones, but memories all the same.

Three hours ahead of server time.
Skyler stopped pulling on Koru's arm when they got to the doorway, and stared wide-eyed into the main rotunda. He heard a strange sound from inside, like a collar sliding off of wood, followed by the quiet clicking of nails that sounded more catlike then doglike. A massive animal came into view, the size of a bear but with its head friendly cocked to the side.

It was a large skinny cat, with a mane of spikes and a collar sitting at the top of them. There were also ringlets of spikes on the paws and a tail like a mace. It was obviously a female due to the longer spikes, especially at the tail. He smiled, but felt kinda badger the coag. After all, the devil doesn't go out because he wants to. He was here to collect a soul, from that very coag. Normally this was is reapers job,but he liked to get out every once and a while, he liked to see the plants that burned to a crisp in the underworld. The coag appeared to be the mansion pet, looking very friendly as it strolled up to them and began rubbing her head on his arm. Too bad this was the one who was going...

As he pet her bronze head, being carful to avoid the spikes, he read the collar as "Lilly." Skyler jumped into cat form, the first time she was showing it, to attempt to speak to it. Koru made his way to one of the curved staircases that were to each side of the door that lead upstairs. He assumed the rooms were up there, and gently opened the nearest on the found.

Time followed closely behind the suspicious kid that began petting the mansion pet. It was familiar, but she didn't take much mind to it. Instead, she went up the opposite way of the guy and chose a room with two twin beds, the room her and Light would share. She saw into the other room and it too had two twin beds, one for the guy and one for the cat girl. She didn't bother to learn anyone's name. "Light!" She called, and it echoed through the room. She beckoned Light to her as she stepped into the room.

Her plan to make two portals, one at her house and one here, wouldn't work. She only brought one pair of cloths incase the hike got dirty, because she was planning to just grab her cloths through the portal. Well, not now. The magic barrier rendered all massive travel gone, so she could only teleport from where she was standing to where the rest of the group was. Well, she went off of one pair of pants a month, and all her shirts were the same in different colors, so it didn't really matter to her. She was a slob.

Chuck snuffed at Koru's explanation that he was a devil. the Devil, in fact. "Fascinating!" He rumbled, and mentally patted himself on the back for being able to recognize another demonic entity. He then watched as Koru's friend grabbed his wrist and dragged him off, speaking about getting a goo room. Chuck blinked, and grinned, "We must catch up later! You seem fascinating to talk to, friend!!" He clicked his front claws together and looked over at where Nate was, before getting up to remeet up with his Thrall

Nate smiled at the offering to see more machines. "Ah, man, that'd be sick. I love stuff like that." He shoved his hands in his pocket, watching from the corner of his eye the approaching red monstrosity that was Chuck. He turned back to James as the other man asked about the roommate situation. "Oh...god, I almost hope they just assign rooms." He bit his knuckle and shrugged a little, "I don't do too well with picking roommates and things like that."

"Nathan!"
Suddenly, Nate was nearly bowled over in front of his new friend, his demon bumping his large horned head again the young man's thigh. Nate staggered forward with a yelp, as Chuck looked up at James and Amy wit ha toothy smile, "Hello new friends! I trust you've been treating my dear friend and companion Nate well?"

Nate glanced back at the oafish demon and sighed, "They've been fine, dude."

((@Xaron A sketch of a coag for who is interesting. Also another pic of Light. I just watched Mama and thank goodness it wasn't as scary as i thought.))

Seeing the coag, Light felt obliged to pet it, but instead followed Time into the room and claimed the bed closest to the window. She took off the large satchel she was carrying and started to unpack. Three flashlights, one lantern, four lighters, some vanilla and coconut-scented candles, a matchbox, a few light bulbs just in case, a drawstring pouch filled with a few polished gems, a drawing pad with pencils, plain black fingerless leather gloves along with a leather jacket, a long, black bandana, some extra clothes, and lastly, her sleeping *****.
She placed most of her belongings on a small side table next to her bed and turned on all the lights. She took off the gloves she was currently wearing and kicked off her combat boots. Picking up a match, Light lit a vanilla candle and placed it on a desk located on the other end of the room. She then sat at the desk and drew a quick and messy picture of a dragon. Eww, it's ugly... She decided to 'enhance' it with a mustache and top hat.

Chuckling at her antics, she walked out of the room and spied on the odd tenants in the room across of her (hellboy and catwoman, she finally decided.). She knocked on the already open door and softly said hello. After meeting these...things, I should explore the fridge, Light thought as her stomach growled.
((@Grizabella Should work now, sorry. ))

((Again, if anyone is bothered by my use of first person, I'll stop if you ask me to ^u^))

At the mention of a kitchen, I perked up. I quickly swooped in through the open door, looking for the boy who mentioned it. After a moment, though, I decided I had had quite enough of waiting and that I would find the kitchen by myself. I also decided that I was getting tired of both this guise and of being ignored. Mid-air, I morphed into a large black dragon with fierce red eyes. The webbing of my wings was red and I had a bright white underbelly. I had two ivory horns on my head, as well as matching spikes down my back and a spade on my tail. My sharp claws glinted wickedly in the low lighting.

Ah yes, one of my favorite forms. Satisfied with my new appearance, I turned towards the people still in the main hall. I reared my head back with a nasty snarl before letting out a thunderous roar, one that would be heard all throughout the mansion. Surely this would get me attention, no? Quite pleased with myself, I turned my hulking body around to begin my search for the kitchen.

The sudden appearance of a large dragon caught both Jake and Cody by suprise. They'd been preocupied, Cody with his socialising and Jake with his keeping-as-far-away-as-possible, that they hadn't noticed them enter the building. Yet suddenly, there was this large black and red dragon, letting out a defening roar that shook the walls and rattled windows. Both Jake and Cody had clamped their hands over their ears; they had rather keen hearing, and the noise was simply far too loud.

When done, the dragon headed off in pursuit of the kitchen. Cody just stared with his mouth hanging open, but Jake ran after them. Where they like them? Another drachen? The only ones he knew of were his clan, but he was sure they weren't the only ones. They couldn't be.

Drachen had a special kind of telepathy that only they can hear. A drachen can typically tell if another is in the area, for they can feel the presence of the other's mind. Jake searched, reaching out with his mind for the faintest of feelings, but got nothing. Were they not a drachen? Giving up on the mind venture, Jake instead waved at the dragon, hoping to catch their attention.

'Hey!' he said. 'Who are you?'

By this time, Cody had regained function of his body, and had trailed after the two. Excitement practically vibrated off him. It wasn't often that they found someone like themselves, and, well, Cody did like to socialise.
