This desert sure is... dry.
Ahead of you lies a crowd assembled in the town square, a strange sight in the midday sun. There's chatter - but most importantly - shade in the wake of the buildings. As you find a spot amid the people, You are greeted by a wail:
"DoN'T sHaVE MEEEEEEEEE!!!"
"City dragon, " clucks a someone nearby.
"Bless his heart, " echoes someone else.
Peeking through the crowd, you struggle to see what - or who - they're looking at, but you can't see past the green shrubbery in the very center of the square. Who's city dragon? What's going on? Maybe a high noon showdown?
Wait, green? Nothing here is THAT green!
The shrubbery shudders, and you can just make out two watery eyes in the middle. "I just wanted to meet Hainuun Hank! Why is the desert so HOT and so ANGRY??" The bawling resumes, even louder

There's a skydancer standing next to the shrub - er, dragon - with a grim look of determination, a comb, and a pair of scissors. He strokes his mustache, then reaches and pulls out a sticker burr from the green dragon. The burr comes alive, squeaking and hissing at him - and the barber wisely sets the burr - uh. hedgehog - on the ground.

"We're going to need more combs, " is all he says in a mild, thoughtful tone.

Greenhorn is a young, excitable tundra who has heard the legend of Hainuun Hank. He rushes into the wild, tracing the tall tales and legendary feats... only to learn that he hates the desert. By the time he drags himself back into town, every cactus, tumbleweed and critter has become lodged in his (formerly) luxurious mane and fluff.
The town barber is in for the fight of his life to untangle this tundra - his combs keep breaking as he picks at the knots and the burrs - he hasn't even thought about how much conditioner this is going to need at the end.
Buy a comb, get a free bag of whatever comes out of this tundra's hair!

Big thanks to Wind Flight for so many generous donations to fund the bags (and tolerating/enjoying my "hair" brained ideas). For those wondering, half of any profit will go back to WindBank for future pushes!
Credit to Starflight897 (badges! ALL THE BADGES!) and BlueEyesNeko for their fantastic art skills
Extra big thanks to Cloudydawn for letting me [s]steal[/s] borrow the grab bag system from our Haunted Harvest push!
And the letter H for Hainuun Hank!

Daily Grab Bag Text...
You marvel at the sight before you: the barber appears to be conducting a small army of Fae, each with combs larger than themselves. Each time a comb breaks, it is flung into a pile and another is snatched up to take it's place. You find yourself needing to bob and weave to avoid the flying debris.
As items fall, young helpers have been recruited to catch items in burlap sacks and hand them off to donors. A young Guardian toddles up to you, handing you your very own bag.

The crowd around the tundra shifts from time to time, all peering at the spectacle of objects falling from the hair. Every now and then, there's a quiet murmur or even a raucous cheer. This is quite the excitement, one elder would have you believe. Nothing quite this exciting since the great tumbleweed tornado (tumblenado) of '73.
A Ridgeback hands you your bag, tossing another comb on the broken pile.

The sun is high and the dust is dry while you watch a Snapper hold up a bag as the barber struggles with the latest lock of hair. Fae helpers chitter, pulling so hard on the comb you can see the Tundra's eyes water - until the fur suddenly gives way and sends the comb (and Fae) flying across the square.
"IT'S A LIVE ONE!" hollars a voice in the back as a squirming, angry critter falls into the bag. The Snapper quickly cinches it shut and places it in a pile of similarly writhing bags being cared for by the younglings.
As a baby Banescale hands you your bag, you hold your breath to see if it wiggles.

Fur. There's so much... fur.
A group of hatchlings is playing in a pile of it; the veilspun are sliding down the hill of green softness while the spiral hatchies fling it at each other for whatever reason hatchlings might have. A ridgeback scratches and peers over his wings as he turns in circles, trying to find the errant, tickly hair that has become lodged between his shoulderblades
A Fae hands you a bag. A very hairy bag.

The fur is piling up, blowing around, sticking to... well, everything.
You notice a trio of old granny Bogsneaks sitting by the growing pile of fur and broken combs. One is running fur between two brushes, aligning the fibers, and the next takes the fur and feeds it into a...spinner? The the third has a pair of dragon-sized knitting needles moving faster than the eye can track. As you watch, a very large, very green sweater begins to appear. And... is that a butt-flap?
Your staring is interrupted by a young Skydancer handing you a bag. You hope it's not a sweater.

The tundra's face is fully visible again, and his misery is truly evident. It's hard to tell if he's embarrassed or sunburnt (maybe both!), there's a gecko hanging on his ear, and at least one bird still stuck and pecking at the closest comb-wielding Fae.
Work pauses as Hank trots up to young Greenhorn - and all of the bad things are forgotten! The Tundra's eyes have gone large and sparkly. He doesn't even notice a Fae accidentally shave a line into his chest fur.
A young Aether flies up to you, chewing on a burlap sack. He blinks for a moment, then guiltily hands you the soggy bag. Well... At least the contents are dry?

As the barber snips a final lock free, and the helper Faes all around him collapse in exhaustion, Greenhorn is finally freed from his giant hair prison! While the town cheers, he sheepishly ducks his head. So much of his fur is in piles on the ground (either being played in, made into wool, or braided into souvenirs...) it's a wonder he has any left! It's patchy and all different lengths, but compared to before he's positively dashing. Perhaps he'll start a new style trend?
One of the hatchlings ties a bandana around his neck, and another puts a brimmer on his head. Hank steps up and poses for a photo - and young Greenhorn is positively beaming.
A young Spiral whirls up with your bag. "Come, come! Hank's weekly BBQ is starting next!" Weekly? Oh, dear. No one tell Greenhorn.
