TOPIC | Write for Dragons! 100+
1 2
Back from a hiatus! I'm less attached to my dragons now, so now you can get them for free if you write for them! You can write for anything in my Please Help and 100 hatchlings tabs, or my hibernal den. I'm asking from 250 words and up, although I have trained some or I'm just really wanting them to get a good home. If you're unsure, you can just ask! The dragons listed here are just some I've provided prompts for. Any dragon does not come with their skins/apparel/familiar. Feel free to ask me questions, or suggest rules. Here’s something for Tuhinga!

~~~~~~~~
She came and went though the mists. The soft, smothering white was her domain. Traveling dragons, with their loudness and bold colors, were an affront to the fog. A group a caravans were making their way slowly along the still, silent path. The dragons inside were singing and laughing and making that disgusting blight of life- noise.
Her talons curled through the mists, ready and poised to destroy the instruments and vocal cords of the dragons inside.
A shaft of light cast by a lantern lit the mists with a yellow glow. She could see the vague outline of a dragon- a small Imperial hatchling who had strayed to far from the nest.
Too bad, she thought, the hatchlings aren’t even taught proper respect.
But even hatchlings, no matter how poorly educated, must be shown mercy.
She crept on silent feet closer to the caravan. The hatchling was giggling, reveling in the knowledge that their friends would never find them.
They had won the game of hide-and-seek. Forever.
The hatchling didn’t even have the time to squeak before it was dragged into the mists, mouth covered by a cruel hand.
Respect is a deadly game, with deadly consequences.
It isn’t her fault that they suffer.
ill write something for Dace! shes so pretty, ill edit this post once im done :)
Dace
Frost crept from underneath her talons, the dragon in her grasp turned blue and began to go lifeless.
“Now that I have revealed how powerful I am , maybe your damn clan will give up trying to take over our lands”
She finished the dragon off and kicked his body away and scoffed
“If they keep putting children like him on the front lines ill single handedly take over that clan and shall rule it, my clan leader will no longer tell me how to use my powers.”
Dace scanned the frozen bodies that littered the battle field.
*wham*
*black*
She wakes up in a room covered in blankets, a bowl of fruit, warm bread and a sweet smelling drink of the table nearby. As she gets up to inspect the food she immediately falls and pain shoots up through both of her hind legs as she realizes both are broken, although they are in casts. Dace roars in pain, getting angry that she cant remember anything. As she manages to get herself to the table a petite white fae opens the door and walks inside.
???: Hello Dace
Dace: Who are you!?
???: you don't remember?
Dace drops her angry tone
Dace: N-no… should I?
SilverClaw: I’m SilverClaw. Tell me Dace, what is the last thing you remember?
*Dace recounts her battle before darkness, still weary of the little fae*
Dace: now i told you what i remember, now what happened to me?
SilverClaw: you were captured as a prisoner how-
*dace tries lunges at SilverClaw but her legs collapse beneath her and then gets intercepted by a powerful Gaoler who slams her to the ground with ease*
???: be greateful Silver gave me orders not to kill you if you did something stupid.
SilverClaw: Thank you Isell, please let her up.
*Isell lets her sit up, then suddenly freezes her up to her shoulders*
Dace: W-what?! How?! I'm practically immune to other ice attacks!
*she looks at the Gaoler, only to see that his eyes hold the power of the Primals*
Isell: let her finish, you ungrateful snake.
*Dace sighs but remains quiet out of a new fear for the Gaoler*
SilverClaw: As i was saying Dace. you were captured as a prisoner a couple of months ago. The ones who captured you are not us. But i will get to our role in a bit. The ones who captured you tried to torture you but failed miserably. And what im told is that the enemy kept selling you tp to others to try new ways of torture to get you to talk…..you killed all of your tortures untill they eventually give up and sold you on the market. We are a part of an organisation that will offer homes to those in need, from prisoners of war to unwanted hatchlings and help rehome them or let them join us. So while we did buy you after we got the information on you. We are no way going to keep you here if you dont want to stay.
Dace: why can't I remember anything?!
*Isell growls at her*
SilverClaw: the doctors told us that you had multiple concussions and broken bones and that there might be some issues with memory. Isell let her speak now.
Dace: why didn't my clan take me back?
Isell: they tried
SilverClaw: your leader visited the first week we had you, you have been here for about 3 now. Your leader tried to get you to come back but you would fight her and Isell had to stop you multiple times before your leader eventually hissed at you to never attempt to return.
Dace: good, I hated my leader anyways… to controlling!
SilverClaw: if i tell Isell to let you go will you attack me?
Dace: no
*the ice around her immediately melts*
SilverClaw: let us help you Dace, there are many friendly faces outside of this building.
Dace: but my legs-
Isell: are healed, my ice holds many wonders.
*dace tests out her back legs*
SilverClaw: will you let us help you?
*dace nods and as the white little fae turns to leave, Dace begins to follow with Isell behind her. She begins to feel happy about her new lease on life.*
Dace began her life anew, Isell took her in as a pupil. Currently, she has a job helping SilverClaw rescue other prisoners of war and now helps them live normally again.
She is now ever the busy dragon and could not be happier.
Dace: now i told you what i remember, now what happened to me?
SilverClaw: you were captured as a prisoner how-
*dace tries lunges at SilverClaw but her legs collapse beneath her and then gets intercepted by a powerful Gaoler who slams her to the ground with ease*
???: be greateful Silver gave me orders not to kill you if you did something stupid.
SilverClaw: Thank you Isell, please let her up.
*Isell lets her sit up, then suddenly freezes her up to her shoulders*
Dace: W-what?! How?! I'm practically immune to other ice attacks!
*she looks at the Gaoler, only to see that his eyes hold the power of the Primals*
Isell: let her finish, you ungrateful snake.
*Dace sighs but remains quiet out of a new fear for the Gaoler*
SilverClaw: As i was saying Dace. you were captured as a prisoner a couple of months ago. The ones who captured you are not us. But i will get to our role in a bit. The ones who captured you tried to torture you but failed miserably. And what im told is that the enemy kept selling you tp to others to try new ways of torture to get you to talk…..you killed all of your tortures untill they eventually give up and sold you on the market. We are a part of an organisation that will offer homes to those in need, from prisoners of war to unwanted hatchlings and help rehome them or let them join us. So while we did buy you after we got the information on you. We are no way going to keep you here if you dont want to stay.
Dace: why can't I remember anything?!
*Isell growls at her*
SilverClaw: the doctors told us that you had multiple concussions and broken bones and that there might be some issues with memory. Isell let her speak now.
Dace: why didn't my clan take me back?
Isell: they tried
SilverClaw: your leader visited the first week we had you, you have been here for about 3 now. Your leader tried to get you to come back but you would fight her and Isell had to stop you multiple times before your leader eventually hissed at you to never attempt to return.
Dace: good, I hated my leader anyways… to controlling!
SilverClaw: if i tell Isell to let you go will you attack me?
Dace: no
*the ice around her immediately melts*
SilverClaw: let us help you Dace, there are many friendly faces outside of this building.
Dace: but my legs-
Isell: are healed, my ice holds many wonders.
*dace tests out her back legs*
SilverClaw: will you let us help you?
*dace nods and as the white little fae turns to leave, Dace begins to follow with Isell behind her. She begins to feel happy about her new lease on life.*
Dace began her life anew, Isell took her in as a pupil. Currently, she has a job helping SilverClaw rescue other prisoners of war and now helps them live normally again.
She is now ever the busy dragon and could not be happier.
Trying out for Gloom.
Edit- added more lore, still might add but that can go on later- or maybe be added to future mate. (834 words)
Skydancers are graceful.
That is a fact that all young dragonlings learn when they begin to experience the world and learn about all the different species that make up dragon-kind. Just like Snappers are strong, Nocturnes are mysterious and strange, Spirals are energetic, and so on. It is a wonderful skill that just so happens to come along with being born as you are.
Shame that nature forgot about that fact when Gloom hatched into the world.
From the beginning it was as if Gloom had a “cloud of clumsy” hanging over him. If he could find a way to hurt himself he would. It wasn’t ever intentional, but it was so commonplace for the little dragon that it became part of him. The poor dear tripped out of his eggshell, rolled off the nest and down into some noxious weeds not minutes after hatching. He became so accident prone that his parents couldn’t understand how he even managed it. They did everything to protect and prevent accidents from happening to the little dragon, but he always found a way to get into trouble.
It got to the point that the clan just accepted it as an over- stayed joke by the Shadowbinder.
Despite this, Gloom grew up into a healthy, whole dragon. He struggled to stay positive and outgoing and was always ready to help when another dragon was down. Yet Gloom always felt as if he had been cursed. The Klutz Kurse as he liked to call it. Gloom imagined that a spell had been placed upon his egg when his parents were pulled away from the nest. That he was some sort of magical experiment gone wrong. He imagined grand stories where he discovered the plot that had caused the Klutz Kurse and went on a grand adventure the right the wrong done to him. Gloom had a magnificent imagination, but eventually he found that the stories were no longer enough- he wanted those adventures!
So despite the horror and desperate attempts of his clan to convince him that he should most certainly NOT go on dangerous adventures, Gloom took off into the wide lands or Sornieth to seek adventure.
Well, you can guess how well that went.
Within the first hour poor Gloom got caught in a violent storm and hit twice with lightning. When the storm finally ended he looked just dreadful and was stuck in the mud. A passing group of centaurs caught sight of the poor dragon and laughed so hard that they went weak, failing to have enough strength to pull him out of the muck. Gloom was not impressed, but he did eventually make it out of the mud.
That was followed by the swarm of angry Bumbles who were disturbed by all the noise Gloom created with the horrid symptoms brought on by the Chipskinks. Perhaps you should watch what direction you sneeze in Gloom?
Gloom ran towards the frigid forests of the Southern lands in an attempt to be rid of the insects, but couldn’t quite shake them. The Bumbles in turn attracted a Hoarfrost Mauler, who was hopeful for the honey he thought he might find. When no honey was to be found the very irate Mauler came after Gloom instead.
@Everburn Lelym is pretty...
The Spiral unraveled himself, leaving his sleeping position. As much as he wished he could slumber on, there was work to be done.
He lived secluded from the Clan, which he found to be preferable. Here, Lelym could work on his brews in peace, without the chatter of other Spirals or the squeals of dragonets playing tag around his feet. It was a bit of a lonely life, but loneliness was the least of Lelym's worries.
Although... that one Wildclaw was quite pretty. She had been asleep when Lelym first arrived, but she was out and about now.
Lelym huffed to himself. Thinking about another dragon! A female, at that!
Time to start chores. Snow won't clear itself from the awnings.
With that, Lelym exited the warmth of his cavern and stepped out into the bitter air. Even with a thick blanket wrapped around his body, the cold still pierced through his scales and chilled him to the bone. Sometimes, the Spiral missed the lands of the Flamecaller - but the feeling of sinking into fresh snow, no matter how cold, was extremely satisfying.
Lelym's sensitive ears picked up the woosh of wingbeats, and he glanced up at the sky in time to see a dark-colored Tundra descend. Oh, it's only Tona. The creepy one who takes the witch aesthetic quite seriously.
"What do you need?" Lelym asked the Tundra. He wasn't all too friendly around other dragons, but Tona was the exception. They shared a few interests, including alchemy and flying through clouds, and occasionally Tona would ask to borrow ingredients for her brews.
"You have a Dust Slither and some yellow sludge, right?" Tona inquired. "And... perhaps something... poisonous, to say the least?"
Lelym was immediately suspicious, but decided to give her the ingredients. "Dust Slither, that I have. How much yellow sludge?"
"I only need three bottles." was Tona's response.
"And for the poison, I have some Serthis Poison. Perhaps some Podid Claws, too? I have no use for them." Lelym was still suspicious, but wanted to help a fellow alchemist. "What do you need all of this for, anyway?"
"Oh, just a new recipe I'm trying out. Thanks for the materials," Tona answered, avoiding Lelym's gaze. "Do you want to hear about the vision Sasha and Cizene had?" the Tundra changed the subject and referred to the Clan's oracles. Without waiting for Lelym's response, she continued. "There was a Tundra dragon who was made of snowflakes and black wisps, and there was another Tundra just like her, only smaller. And the smaller Tundra joined forces with a Nocturne made of sizzling bolts of lightning and took down the large Tundra. And then there was a prophecy!"
A prophecy?
"Really? Do you remember it?"
"Of course I remember!" Tona began to recite. "Sired of Ice, laid by Shadow; these two will know what no dragon should know. One of Lightning, lost in a chest; for the Clan he will shall what is best. Upon these three the cold eyes of the Icewarden stay..."
Lelym felt a chill go down his spine as Tona repeated the words she had heard. "Do you think one of the Tundras is you?" he inquired.
Tona nodded. "In fact, I think I may be the larger one. I'm not sure who the other Tundra is, and we have two Lightning Nocturnes in our Clan." She thought for a moment. "Actually, we only have two Tundras who are half-Ice and half-Shadow. There's Adenalie, my cousin, and her sister Lyovyn. My sister Piren could be a possibility, but I heard that she was exalted. But she serves the Icewarden, so I may see her when our lair gets too big for the Cloudscrape crags."
She sure seems excited about this.
"Anyway, thank you for the supplies!" Tona chattered before taking flight.
The next day, Lelym was awakened from his noon nap by the stamping of talons as a dragon landed outside his cavern. "Lelym! Come quick! Sasha has been poisoned!" the voice called. Lelym stumbled outside to see Ikira, a shimmering Wildclaw, waiting by the cavern entrance. With her was Aldri, a Pearlcatcher, who was fidgeting with his claws. Both had frantic, worried expressions.
Ikira spoke. "Sasha began vomiting blood after eating. We think she's been poisoned; Dreamsleep recognized the symptoms. Tona is doing all she can, but we need the help of another alchemist to concoct a potion to heal her before it's too late."
Lelym was aware of his head bobbing in a nod, but he was too caught up in his thoughts about Tona. She came here yesterday asking about poison, and she told me about the vision and prophecy.
What motivated Tona to poison Sasha?
