She's strikes a pose while stirring her cauldron, since she doesn't have any flasks, and cracks an evil laugh. While laughing, evilly, Gun notices the option of upgrading a familiar. She decides to throw her own familiar into the cauldron along with some other items: [center] [item=Fire Sprite][/center] [center][item=Blue Goo] [item=High-Voltage Almonds] [item=Charged Sprocket] [item=Thunder Slash] [/center] The blue goo turns the Fire Sprite's flames to a matching color. Thunder now surrounds her body powered by the almonds that now glow inside of her belly. The sprockets just float around like a defense mechanism. (Gun didn't throw anything inside the cauldron to stick them together with.) She is now a Mad Scientist's Familiar.

No one in the clan really understands his obsession to test things, and that is what he does. All day. Every day. Proven mathematical equations and laws of the universe, Zaulen will test them, run any experiment he can think of to push those laws to their limits, to see if they will break. Theoretical and unproven hypotheses and theories? He will test those too of course, to see if they can be proven. There are no stupid questions in Zaulen’s lab, no idea too silly to try. Because that is how new discoveries are made, questioning everything we know, to find the answer to something we don’t! It’s an eccentric way of ‘doing science’, but it seems to work for him. Zaulen’s apparel: Lab coat, safety goggles, and safety gloves of course. He is a little far sighted – thus the spectacles. He used to wear a golden tail bobble, and some jewelry pieces of science… but there was an incident. Don’t worry, the tail bandage makes the injury look worse than it is! It’s just a few small scratches, but those scratches are a very real reminder of why we do NOT WEAR PERSONAL ACCESSORIES IN THE LAB. They can get caught in the lab equipment and personal injury can occur! The same applies to flowing manes and fur, and loose clothing! It looks like we could all benefit from another safety class to remind us of the laboratory rules. Zaulen will schedule a class for[b] next Thursday at 8:30am[/b]. Mandatory attendance. Oh and those cloudy bleached wings? Zaulen tells young hatchlings it was an experiment gone wrong many years ago to scare them into wearing their safety equipment, but his wings are really just fading with age! Zaulen’s familiar: a Nightsky Fuiran. Some think it a strange companion for a scientific lab, but Zaulen and the Fuiran are old, old friends. And the Fuiran’s keen sense of smell is quite handy in the lab. He can tell when a solution is done heating on the Bunsen burner just by smell, and has detected dangerous gas leaks in the past, leading to quick and safe evacuations of lab personnel. Zaulen has made are few enhancements to the Fuiran over the years… A laser for precisely cutting materials, and on low-power mode it makes a good laser pointer for presentations! Four tracker engines, this allows the Fuiran to glide and hover around the lab with little effort, and he doesn’t knock into things with his wings. Also two black iron segments as extra limbs. Most recently Zaulen was up late in the lab one night and the power went out… so he used some beeswax to fasten a golden deepsea bulb to the Fuiran so he could keep working. Hailing from the land of wind he disliked the artforms that were considered the norm like painting and singing. Once we reached adulthood he left his birthplace tired of what he saw as "Hippy" ways. He traveled for years, meeting new clans and attempt their arts in hopes of learning something that could hold his interests. Just outside of the golem workshop he met what he considered the oddest of things, an animal that was a part robot and part living. He took this small critter, a swift volt and studied it. With what he learned he soon started a path to building small robots and giving dragons replacements for anything they lost in fights or due to sickness. Feodor became obsessed with all things tech, he saw machines as better then the living and wished to replace dragons with new better, and shinier, forms. He ended up joining a clan that both honored the Flamecaller and the Stormcaller, a perfect match of forge work and intelligence he needed for his work. To this day Feodor still works on creating a replacement for dragons, while he has made quite a few leaps and bounds he's far from creating this "replacement." He wasn't the only robot in the clan, there were many more like him, most of them ended like the one he saw before him, having some sort of malfuction, built with little to no thought put in and tossed away like a toy later on when they didn't work or broke down. At anytime and any day he could end up like this. He backed away from the newly broken shell of a dragon. He exited the dump the clan placed it's broken down robots to be scavenged from later.
