My girlfriend Marine and I have decided to host this giveaway for all you newbies that are finally getting that chance to join the site! We hosted a giveaway during the last couple of registration windows and they've been a smashing success every time, so we're going to do another giveaway for all the new folks! We're also going to bring back the egg guessing game we started with the last giveaway and give everyone brave enough to guess at its colors a chance to win a brand new gen 1 dragon! Of course, we do need to lay out a few rules first before we get started, because this isn't a free for all! Greetings, newcomers to Flight Rising! My girlfriend Marine and I have decided to host this giveaway for all you newbies that are finally getting that chance to join the site! We hosted a giveaway during the last couple of registration windows and they've been a smashing success every time, so we're going to do another giveaway for all the new folks!
We're also going to bring back the egg guessing game we started with the last giveaway and give everyone brave enough to guess at its colors a chance to win a brand new gen 1 dragon!

Of course, we do need to lay out a few rules first before we get started, because this isn't a free for all!
  1. The only people allowed to enter are those who joined during this most recent registration window (October 13-14, 2014). Anyone else who tries to join will not be allowed.
  2. To enter, it's as simple as pinging me (@Mariette) and telling me you want to enter!
  3. Entrants from the Light and Plague flights will get two entries instead of one! After all, I'm from Light Flight, and Marine is from Plague Flight, so we want to give a little something special to our fellow Acolights and Plaguelings! Make sure to let me know when you enter so I can get you down for two entries! I wouldn't want to miss someone!
  4. This is going to be a tiered giveaway. The giveaway starts at Tier 1, where entrants will have a chance to win hatchlings from one of my nests and one of Marine's nests. If we get enough entries (60), Tier 2 will be unlocked, where more dragons will be given away, and if we get even more entries (120), Tier 3 will be unlocked, and all of the dragons will be given away!
  5. Included in the giveaway are item pots! Each item pot will be given to a dragon at the end of the giveaway, so every winner will not only get a dragon, but they will get familiars, apparel, and food for that dragon!
  6. The giveaway will end at 12:00 AM Flight Rising Time on October 18, 2014. After the routine rollover maintenance, I will put the names of all the entrants into random.org and calculate the winners that way!
  7. If you are drawn, your entry (or entries) will be removed from subsequent drawings for the sake of fairness. You can, however, still win more than one dragon if you have the best guess at the Egg Guessing Game!

From that, we will take the colors that the dragon is hatched with, and subtract the number of the primary, secondary, and tertiary colors from the number guessed. So if you guess an Emerald (#33 on the color wheel) primary and the dragon hatches with a Leaf (#39 on the color wheel) primary, you will be 6 colors off. Of course, because things can and, [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murphy%27s_law]according to my good friend Murphy[/url], do often go horribly and terribly wrong sometimes, Marine and I will make sure and count just to be certain. That way, if you guess Maize (#1 on the color wheel) and the dragon hatches as Pink (#66 on the color wheel and two steps from Maize), you won't be automatically thrown out because the spreadsheet said you were 65 places off. Once all that crazy calculation is done, we'll add the calculated numbers together and presto! Just like in golf, whoever has the smallest number wins! If there are multiple guesses that are equally close or equally correct in terms of colors (that is, they have the same ending number), then the breed guesses and gender guesses will act as tiebreakers. How that works is, if you guess the breed correct, you win. If no one or everyone guesses the breed correctly, we move on to gender. And, of course, if that doesn't work, then the winner will be randomized from the pool of tied guesses. I don't anticipate this happening, but my friend Murphy (see above link) has instructed me to always be prepared just in case. Alongside the main giveaway, we're also going to be hosting an egg guessing game! In this fun little game, everyone who enters can get a chance to win a Gen 1 dragon! All you have to do is post the following information on each dragon when you enter:

What Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary color you think the dragon will be, along with what breed you think it will be, and what gender you think it will be! Note that you will get two guesses, one for the light egg, and one for the plague egg!

Here's an example of what we're looking for:
