[*]If one of the two new slots is protected, the protection has to be breaken first, but the protection level is lowered. [*]That means that "Fair chance" protection grants the prize automatically, and "Double strike " is reduced to "Fair chance" protection. [*]That should be it. Hope it is clear. How will it work:

The mechanics could be as simple as the game itself, but to keep the rare prizes really rare, it is a little bit complicated.
The basic rules:
  • Everone can take one pull a day during the Trickmurk Cirkus festival.
  • According to the price the player payed that day, the player can pull 1 to 3 strings at once.
  • There are 40 item types that are hidden in the puddle. These would be further called "Slots".
  • Every slot has its number.
  • When a string is beeing pulled, a random number is generated. The span for the number matches the numbers of the slots: 1-40.
  • The item from the slot with the chosen number is the prize.
And here comes the BUTs:
  • Pulling more strings at once means not only that the player gets more items, but also that these itmes would be different ones. (Because pulling at once means the player actually pulls more different strings and each string is supposed to lead to its own prize).
  • So when another number during one pull is generated an it maches a number that already granted a prize, it is immediately re-rolled with a different random number.
  • The more valuable prizes are protected with a system of "knots" to make them not se easy to obtain.
  • Knots ties the strings together. So when pulling out a knot, it means to pull out two additional string tied to the original one.
  • The low protection: "Fair chance". When a string with such protected slot is being pulled, two more random numbers are generated. If both of these numbers are either even or uneven, the player wins this prize. If the nubers are one even and one uneven, they pull a "knot" instead.
  • If the knot is being pulled out, the two additionally generated numbers (even and uneven) appoints the two new winning slots.
  • The high protection: "Double strike". When a string with such protected slot is being pulled, two more random numbers are generated. If at least one of these numbers is the same as the number of this protected slot, the player wins this prize. Otherwise the player pulls out a "knot".
  • If the knot is being pulled out, the two additionally generated numbers (both different from the originally rolled one and different from each other) appoints the two new winning slots.
  • If one of the two new slots is protected, the protection has to be breaken first, but the protection level is lowered.
  • That means that "Fair chance" protection grants the prize automatically, and "Double strike " is reduced to "Fair chance" protection.
  • That should be it. Hope it is clear. However, these mechanicsare quite difficult to explain, but easy enough to apply them.
  • I will gladly answer your question, however, my mail is flooded with chess pieces, so it can take a while to answer. Thank you.
  • If I will run out of some items (of any value), their slot number automaticaly gives you a "knot" with two additional strings to pull.
