i like stock the pond as a way of getting dragons with wild colours, but with my own pairs i'm always thinking...
what if they were even more chaotic?
and looking at the colour opposites chart, i couldn't help but notice that each colour has two opposites.
i've gotten examples of all 6 possible xxy, xyy, and xyx colour patterns for a hypothetical pair here. in this case, rose and pearl are the colours one off each other, and fern is the colour opposite!
you would only need one of these options, in whatever colours you go with, though getting multiple could be an extra challenge for anyone who wants one!
it might work better to get the one-off first and work from there, as some combinations may be harder to find than xxx dragons, which can already be tricky to get sometimes! i haven't tested the difficulty of this, but there's a reason i went with rose/pearl for my example, given i wanted to get all 6 and it's a combo i see around enough.
if anyone wants to give this challenge a go, i'd love it if people shared pairs and hatchlings here, or any thoughts/feedback! there's a chance somebody has already thought of this, and i'd love to see that if they have! but i thought i might as well make this thread to find out and share my own pairs anyway :D

so what if, instead of two xxx dragons, you found a one off xxx, and then an xxx that's the opposite of BOTH of those colours?

then the pair would have the potential for the entire colour wheel!
