Lots of dragons like to go out and play in the snow, or train in the coliseum, but I like to stay inside and solve puzzles! Here's some of my favorites to share with you!
[/columns] Crossword puzzles for the lexically inclined! I offer: Full sized puzzle! Mini puzzle! These are hosted on a website that allows for full solving and checking! Do you prefer uncovering mysterious shapes? Try out some picross! These are hosted on a google sheet that has been set up to check your answers for you! Or, you can print the grids (hosted on imgur) and solve pencil and paper instead. Spreadsheet (Make a copy!) How to use the sheet: Type . to fill in a cell black and X to fill it in gray! The numbers are for the black squares, the picture is black on a gray background. There is a column and a row set up to tell you if you have the right number of black squares. Note that this will not tell you if your black squares are correct, and it counts total squares rather than groups of squares (it can't distinguish between 4, 2 2, and 3 1.) At the bottom is a check box and when you check it, the cell to the right will tell you if you got it right! Unfortunately the sheet is not very mobile friendly. If that's too complicated: Puzzle One as a printable image Puzzle Two as a printable image These are also called logic grid puzzles! Back in dragon school my dragon teacher called them quizzles though so that's what I call them! These are hosted on a spreadsheet similar to the picross sheet. Just like with picross, if you type a . then that'll fill the square in black, and there's an autocheck system built in! Spreadsheet (make a copy) Puzzle one story: Nancy, Hercule, and Benoit are trying to figure out where each icy familiar was during the murder! They have decided to start by collecting evidence about an Ice Sprite, a Frozen Goblin, a Cragward Custodian, a Polarfreeze Defender, and a Shardback Slink. Use the evidence they've gathered to figure out what each familiar was doing, and where they were doing this. Note: to solve this puzzle you will need two pieces of background information 1. Where do gaolers live? This can be found on the world map tooltips! 2. Which familiars are furry? To see all the familiars mentioned in this puzzle, look here in the database! Puzzle two story: Micycle, Kimothy, Mathleen, Bobius, and Hamantha are five friends who met at the Crystalline Gala a few years ago, and now they have an annual reunion! Use the clues to figure out what breed and flight each dragon is, and their order of arrival. You will need to know the names of some flight territories for this, as well as which region each Ancient breed comes from. Puzzle three story: The other icy familiars prepared cookies to share with gala guests! Can you figure out which type of cookie each familiar made, and who used what color of sprinkles? There is no background information needed for this puzzle.

Do you prefer uncovering mysterious shapes? Try out some picross! These are hosted on a google sheet that has been set up to check your answers for you! Or, you can print the grids (hosted on imgur) and solve pencil and paper instead.

Spreadsheet (Make a copy!)

How to use the sheet: Type . to fill in a cell black and X to fill it in gray!

If that's too complicated:

Ooh cool! I used to do these all the time on conceptispuzzles but this is the first time I’ve seen a homemade picross in Sheets alone. Bravo!

@wintrecat the sheets conditional format coding was SO satisfying to see cells turn solid black and gray including forethought for the gray x text.

Pic was on brand (no spoilers) and when I figured it out ya got me for not figuring it out sooner. XD

Tip for anyone who thinks Picross looks neat but hasn't learned yet - the columns of 16 together in an unbroken line, no matter whether its correct position is 16 starting from the top or 16 starting from the bottom, certain cells in the middle overlap so those MUST be black. Leave the edges unfilled as you can't prove which ones at top or bottom are correct.

Then rows with sets of 2 and 2? Those partial columns of 16 make one set of 2 in those rows. Adding black next to them would make a set of 3, so next to them must be gray.

Amd on you go!

Great stories in the Quizzles! You made me look up which of the 5 familiars were furry, scour the Worldmap for locations and lok up dragons' origin elements, so much exercise strengthening the brain on top of logic itself hahahaha.

Yay puzzles!! I love puzzles!
I was rather surprised at how difficult I found the crosswords, they're a good challenge.
I couldn't figure out how to play the picross (I've never played one before LOL), so I ended up skipping that one, but the logic puzzles were very fun :) I actually found myself automatically assuming all the breeds matched their original flight during the second logic puzzle lmao, so that made it harder for me T-T oops.
