Hey y'all!!! I'm finally biting the bullet and setting up an official game plan to actually try for a Hornhelm. I'm aiming to complete my girl Velkurpeni! She began as a pipe dream, and may actually end up completed! If I can get this helm at least haha.
From my research, these things typically sell for somewhere around 90kG-100kG, but there's one on the AH for 200kG, so I am presently Unsure. My plan !!
I am gonna get to 100kG, and then survey the market and see where the price is at. In this thread, I'm gonna have monthly check-ins to see how much I've made each month, and then add it to my total. I'll be keeping all of it in my Vault for easy reference and so I'm not tempted to spend it haha. Deposits will be made in multiples of 100 for Gems and 100k for Treasure, so I have just a liiiittle bit of wiggle room, just in case lol.
I plan to get my funding through Fairgrounds, Coli grinding, fest and NOTN stuff, and art! I'm working on reopening my commissions, and considering the possibility of opening a skin and accents business! Lmk if y'all wanna be notified when that happens. Fair warning: I'll be pricing my art based on USD, so it will be a fairly significant amount of Gems' worth if you want to pay in FRC. But! I plan to keep my stuff not too much more than $100 (10kG) at the most expensive. There will definitely be cheaper options available too!
Skins and accents will also be much closer to common UMA pricing, unless you want a custom, but I don't think I'm quite experienced enough in skinmaking yet to reliably do that haha.
