I've seen a few different basic to gem gene breeding challenges, and it looks fairly fun, so I decided to give it a shot too. The idea isn't mine, I'm just playing around with it.

I am starting with an all basic plentiful dragon that is already RTB, bought off of the AH for treasure. I will be breeding one level, both in gene rarity and breed rarity, higher each time. So, the first mate is a common dragon with all common genes that is also RTB. The process will be repeated each generation.

I was intending to find something in the same color range as the girl, to try to get a XXX dragon at some point, but there weren't any options once I added all of the requirements. And since the breed/gene requirements were more important than color ranges, I picked the boy I liked the best with the options I had. His name is Cocomint.

I was intending to find something in the same color range as the girl, to try to get a XXX dragon at some point, but there weren't any options once I added all of the requirements. She was the first female dragon that's got the right breed/gene rarity whose colors I mostly liked. I scried her with the male, and the hatchling previews were decent.
She's already RTB, so we're just waiting on the male now. He'll be RTB on May 21st, so we'll see what happens then.
