[center][i][b]Welcome![/b][/i][/center] hey hey! i recently discovered the quests & challenges board, and have been absolutely enthralled by reading through various threads for the last few days. so!! i wanted to get started with trying my own! inspired by @Atantyr 's [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/qnc/3052263]Breed Out the Ugly Challenge[/url], which was inspired by and took the rules from @Midgardsormr 's [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/qnc/2996580]Breed Out the Ugly[/url]! i'm still relatively new to actually playing FR actively, so i'll probably still be taking this relatively easy lol [quote=RULES][b]1.[/b] You will start with a bank of 20g/20kt. For the sake of this challenge the conversion rate is 1g/1000t. Remaining funds will be tracked [s]in treasure[/s] accordingly. a. EACH ROUND you must swap currency types. Round one: Gems. Round two: Treasure. And so forth. [b]2.[/b] Your first dragon must be an ungened Gen 1. It must be awful. You must not like it and only be keeping it in your lair out of possessive spite. Bonus if it is one of your pro-gens. (If you have to buy one, they must be no more than 15kt.) [b]3.[/b] Find it a mate! It needs to be RTB (ready to breed), and under 10kt/10g (depending on what you have left). Roll a d20 (or less if there aren't enough pages) to determine the page to pick the mate from. Roll a d10 to choose the mate from that page. There's no requirement for triple genes. You get what you get. a. If the roll for a mate lands on a page of ancients, roll again! [b]4.[/b] Breed them! a. If only one baby has a gene, or a new gene, you keep that baby no matter how awful it is. b. If all babies have equal genes, roll a d?? to decide which heir to keep. c. Gem genes DO NOT have priority over treasure genes. If you have two babies, once with Wasp and the other with Clown, your butt is still rolling to decide who to keep. Good luck. [b]5.[/b] While waiting for the heir to be ready to breed, train and exalt or sell the others in order to fill back up your bank and pay for the next dragon. [b]6.[/b] Your next dragon, and every dragon following that you get for a mate, must only be bought with money in the bank. You must still roll a d20 (or lower) to determine the page, but you will get to pick from there. a. You must pick a dragon that has a similar RTB date. NO WAITING A MONTH FOR NEW BABIES. No more than 5 days difference. [b]7.[/b] No scrying workshop ALLOWED. ONLY baby preview immediately before breeding to allow yourself hope. "prumble." i named her when i first made my account and wasn't taking FR as seriously as i have since decided i want to, so she will be renamed at... [i]some point.[/i] she's actually been scattered once already, and used to look [url=https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/461747060123631617/905587793877696512/46431825_350.png]like this[/url]. i'm [i]really[/i] not a huge fan of colors like magenta or fuschia myself, and the first scatter certainly made her... fruitier... so let's see if we can BOTU before she's scattered again!! so i trolled over to the auction house and (after setting up my settings to make sure i'd get a fella who's RTB) found this very colorful guy named Zanlam for 10 gems: [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/51024710][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/510248/51024710_350.png[/img][/url] i'm not *super* counting on any of those spicy rare genes getting passed on, but it'd be a nice surprise, for sure!! ASTONISHINGLY excited ur doing this :] i cannot wait to see what kind of babies they generate, it'd be extremely cool if any of them ended up with gem genes on the first go-round

oh boy update day! a few things: first! Otis's sisters each sold for [i][b]5G[/b][/i] Zanlam was exalted for [i][b]11,373T[/b][/i] which puts our bank up to: [b]24,873T/20G[/b] next! since this whole thing started with [i]mz prumble[/i] and her awful, watermelon colored tri scatter, i thought it worth mentioning that i went for it and scattered her again! the results are...
