So, years ago I was actively involved in working through my own Royalty Legacy Challenge. The thread was somewhat active when I started, but there was little activity when I was nearing the end of my challenge and I couldn't get the needed heirs from other participants to finish my own challenge. A little while later I left the game and didn't return until now. Seeing my old legacy challenge dragons sitting in my lair made me want to finish what I started, so that's what I'll be doing here!
On to the legacy challenge. The original rules were:
You must breed with a different flight each generation. The goal is to have bred with each flight by the end. Here's an example of what it should look like:
Founder = Nature
1st gen: Nature x Earth
2nd gen: Nature x Light
3rd gen: Nature x Shadow
4th gen: Nature x Fire
5th gen: Nature x Water
6th gen: Nature x Wind
7th gen: Nature x Ice
8th gen: Nature x Plague
9th gen: Nature x Lightning
10th gen: Nature x Arcane
11th gen: Your final dragon!
There is no set order you must breed with other flights.
You can't use breed/gene change scrolls on your heir or mates before they mate. You may of course change them how ever you want after they've bred.
Basically, get a plentiful dragon with no genes, or a gen 1 dragon. Find a mate for that dragon that is from one of the other flights. Your 'heir' is the oldest hatchling from the pair that's the same gender as your first dragon, or just the oldest hatchling. That 'heir' was then paired with a spare from one of the other Royalty Legacy Challenge's participants nests that was not from a flight any of your dragons in the lineage had been matched with yet.
My starting dragon was Justinian, a gen 1 male Guardian. (which meant all his 'heirs' had to also be male.)
[I'll write more about his lineage and the scoring for the challenge in the next few posts.]
On to the legacy challenge. The original rules were:
Quote:
- Hatch or obtain an ungened plentiful dragon of YOUR flight. This dragon can be gen 1 or not. The gender of this dragon will determine how you select future heirs so choose wisely! This dragon is your founder!
- Find a mate for your founder from one of the ten other flights. You can not use a dragon from your founder's flight ever. You're trying to expand your dragon kingdom here! This mate can have any genes/breed. You can only spend up to 10k on this dragon.
- Breed your founder and mate in your nest or another nest of the SAME flight as you. The gender of your founder will determine your next heir. If your heir is male then the first male in your clutch will be your next heir. If your clutch is all opposite gender then select the first born.
- For each generation add an additional 10k to the maximum price you can spend on finding mates for your heirs. 2nd generation is 20k, 3rd is 30k, etc.
