Tigris here is the one for the task. That is because when the clan decides to do a CYOA event he is the one sent to represent the clan. Even though his decisions aren't always the best he does make it back each time which is what everyone wants the most. Tigris spends a lot of time in the library working and reading which includes learning about artifacts of the world. He is also still willing to go out and explore unlike other homebodies.

I actually have a group of dragons who have headed off to the Viridian Labyrinth in search of a medicine with magical properties to cure a myserious malady that struck two of the clan's dragons! (Timing is everything.)

These two unfortunate souls developed a creeping skin disease while in hibernation at the time of the Trickmurk Circus. The clan physician, Olive, who monitors dragons in hibernation, made the discovery and woke them immediately, but has been unable to discover an effective treatment. While both Ferdinand and Hellinore appear in stable condition, their wounds simply won't heal!

Fortunately the clan Matriarch, Thagwynn, has granted Olive permission to travel to her birth home in the Viridian Labyrinth so she can consult with her mentors about a cure. Thagwynn has assigned Gallineo, her Silk Road Merchant, to guide her along with Rialto, Gallineo's bodyguard, to protect the party. The two dragons are also lifemates(a rarity in the clan) and moms to an eternal hatchling, Enkidu, who travels everywhere with them.

Which leads me to our fearless leader, Olive. She is trained as a genetics specialist, which was how she ended up coming to serve the wind clan, so her healing abilities are limited. She specializes in the nuanced physical and mental changes that allow her patients to successfully navigate gene and breed changes, a challenging art, indeed! She is desperate to find a way to ease her patients' suffering and is counting on her mentors to provide the answers she seeks.

Cornelious is the ideal lead for this clan's quest, partly by his own merits, but also by process of elimination. On his own, Cornelious is what most look for in a leader: strong, grounded, driven, and diplomatic. He'd be easily able to keep a band of adventurers in their element, planning advances around each member's strengths and weaknesses. Organization comes naturally.
Granted, the other reason why Cornelious would be leading this band is because no one else is really suited for the task. Arvid, the clan leader, would be get distracted by every minor discovery along the way. Her mate, Javor, hates major decision making unless in times of dire need. Hakan is an excellent fighter by himself, but does better when guided if he's in a group. Down the line, few dragons could hold a candle to Cornelious's ability to lead a party to victory.

If he catches wind of any magical items, he is sure scout out the location and if needed he will form a party to help him retrieve the item. Once he has the item, Juno will either use it as part of an invention he was messing around with, sell it, or give to the clan heads if he think it may be of use.
