Anyone who'd like can join for this challenge! The goal is to start with an all basic and plentiful breed dragon and breed until you eventually have a rare breed dragon with all rare genes.
Reference for rareness of breeds/genes: (updated guide as of Dec 2023)
How it works:
(1) Locate starter dragon with plentiful breed and all basic genes
(2) Find mate with common breed and all common genes
(3) Breed them until they produce any offspring that ISN'T the same as the starter (Plentiful and all basic) - this offspring will be the heir
(4) Find mate for the heir that is +1 for each category (Common breed if heir is plentiful, uncommon breed if heir is common and same rules for each primary/secondary/tertiary gene)
General Example:
Plentiful basic starter X All Common mate - breed until the following is true
(A) The breed is Common (genes can be all basic or any can be common) OR
(B) Breed is still plentiful but one or more of the genes is common
This dragon becomes the heir.
Specific Example:
All basic Fae X All Common Snapper (Ex Snapper with Tiger/Safari/Underbelly)
Offspring that'd qualify as heir:
(A) Any Snapper hatchling
(B) Any hatchling that have ANY of the secondary genes - so could be Tiger/basic/basic, basic/Safari/basic, basic/basic/Underbelly or can have multiple as well.
For our example we will say they produced an offspring that is Snapper Tiger/basic/basic - the mate for this heir would have to be an Uncommon breed with genes that are uncommon/common/common.
Rinse and repeat until you eventually have a dragon that is a rare breed with all rare genes
Feel free to ask any questions!
Note: It is against the rules of the challenge to apply gene scrolls at any time to any dragon actively a part of the challenge (In other words the current breeding pair or on an heir hatchling - it is ok if they were a past pair or hatchlings that aren't the heir).

My challenge is basically just an easier version of theirs
