Yesterday I shopped around before bed and was deciding between a couple of different mate options. I narrowed my focus to XYY Black mates only in the hopes of getting even closer to that goal next round. Fun fact: I used to have a small collection of XXX dragons, and my XXX Black Tundra pair were a favorite of mine. I got rid of all my triples in my very first lair purge back when you could have only 175 dragons total (if I'm remembering correctly), which I planned out rigorously before deciding which dragons to keep and purge. I don't regret exalting the original pair, but now that lair space has increased I think I'd like to gather some more XXX dragons again. This may have led me down another slippery slope that leads to another dragon shopping spree :,) [size=2]my poor wallet[/size]
Anyhoo, I decided that since I loved her enough to keep her beyond the challenge I should invest in her over the PC. I was apprehensive at first because Cerise-Black is a much smaller range than Cerise-Saffron, plus Saffron is closer to the color range I'd prefer to stay in. Upon further thought I realized that being as it's only the 2nd generation, it's ok to be a little looser. I'll just be stricter with my next mate choice c:

I'm thinking that when these two breed, I'll be prioritizing any babies born with black in their tertiary *fingers crossed* As for points for dem lovely goat eyes (I'm a sucker for goat eyes), the thread and spreadsheet are not updated with points that include goat (9), nor baldwin (3) and gem (6) eyes, so I went ahead and assigned my own values to those, which I edited into [url=https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ShDeHMp2S00OgBB7LEXU4mkQWSjuiIdBP2u6a8pkGe4/edit?usp=sharing]my personal scoresheet[/url] when tallying up points. For anyone curious, I currently already have 61 points.

She's Peach // Obsidian // Black and not XYY black because my XYY black options were once again had primaries only in greyscale range, and I just couldn't find a good option. I looked for a mate for quite some time; I waited days and tried to give the market a chance, but nothing changed even as new dragons were added. So I gave up and expanded my secondary range to see what else was out there. I was pretty pleased with Etsuko because she's only one off from black, so their range isn't too much wider than I'd have otherwise had. I'm still hoping for an XYY black, but I need a good primary to go with it! lolz She and Foreshadow are now on a nest - took 'em long enough to be RTB - and they have 2 eggs. Only 2. Gosh, idk what it is about this round of the legacy challenge, but nobody wants to give me more than 1 or 2 eggs most of the time it seems!

I do hope their babies steer clearer of the purple range, since my male Wheel of Fortune has a purple range primary, but otherwise, I'd be satisfied with basically any bright or fun color. I finally had the time and chance to hatch these babbins and I'm pleased with the results - two very good choices!
