@Vidoxi you do not have to follow every rule. Actually if you read deeper that is one rule that is addressed in more detail and different manners it can be done or overlooked. I personally just handed my babies out as freebies to newbies when they joined. :)
"you must ensure every hatchling gets a long-term home" sounded good until this. why would you do that to yourself lol
I understand the concern, but this challenge was adapted from the 100 Baby Challenge from the Sims series, where raising a child properly was an integral part. c: In the Sims, it would be all too easy for one's matriarch to have a random man's baby and then just continuously age her offspring up using the same cake and the same candles on the day it's born so that he or she can become an adult and get out of her hair. Lather, rinse, repeat. However, that's not the point of the challenge. The point is to raise her kids, and once the kid reaches a certain level of proficiency at whatever stage of life they're in (level 3 in all toddler skills or becoming an A-student as a child and then as a teenager), they may advance to the next stage and get closer to making that sweet house-space back for more kids. Since there's no way to actually "raise hatchlings" on Flight Rising, I wanted to emulate the spirit (and difficulty!) of the original challenge by including a rule where each needs a long-term home. As @Serenefire mentioned, I elaborated more on it and what this really means:
[T]he fourth rule isn't about finding [all of the hatchlings] a permanent home per say. Just something that's not "buy, then get instantly exalted or exalt-trained." They could be used for a single breeding for a challenge, become a stud in a hatchery, be an intermediate on someone's quest to achieve a dream dragon, become someone else's fodder mill for a time. ... Of course, them becoming a permie in someone's lair would be wonderful, but it's not required and certainly not expected for 100 separate hatchlings. Basically, as long as they stay in someone's lair for a couple weeks (at least until they're RTB), they can be exalted without impacting the challenge negatively since they found a home for a little while.* ... *If you want to do the traditional rules, though, this is not something to exploit. Selling or giving away your hatchlings and just saying "I don't care what happens as long as they're not exalted until they're RTB" doesn't keep to the spirit of ensuring a good life for the matriarch's offspring.
However, having fun is the main goal of doing this challenge, so I've also included variations that may make working with the matriarch's children easier. This includes using the Auction House to sell hatchlings or non-RTB adult progeny at above-fodder prices (to substantially lessen the chances of them being immediately exalted or exalt-trained) or to just sell RTB adult progeny at fodder price. Of course, if you want to do a 100 Hatchling challenge and just exalt every hatchling the moment they're hatched, then you do you. c: I just felt I should explain my thought process behind that rule and why I opted to make it so relatively difficult compared to, say, the Breed Out the Ugly Challenge.

First nest hatched! Nothing exciting, as Quartz hasn't been gened yet, but some lovely colours on Ammolite and Jade. Once these kids are RTB, I'll post them on the free dragons thread that goes with the challenge! Finally got this party started! This is Reina, my lovely matriarch: And her first mate, Alderaan: A few days ago, she had her first-ever nest. Of course, when the hatchlings were a boy and a girl, I had to name them after the planet's last queen and Senator. This is Bail: And Breha:

@vidoxi
I loosely interpreted that rule as being "you cannot just use this challenge as a fodder mill". I pretty much keep any offspring until they are RTB unless someone expresses interest in them. If a dragon isn't adopted by the time they are RTB, I place them on a random swap thread (ie the give a tundra/ get a tundra swap).
