7 points each for the other 2, 14 for the heir, 28 total

3 egg nest, 6th gen heir:

16 points for heir, 7 for one sibling, 10 for the other

yet another 1 egg nest, 7th gen heir:

ANOTHER 1 egg nest, 8th gen heir:

3 egg nest, 9th gen heir (finally got that tert!!):

32 points for heir, 15 for one sibling, 10 for the other, 57 total

and, of course, we end with a 1 egg nest:

which ends with a meager 223 points. Wow. I think I'll try again XD. Although I do like the 10th generation guy. I think I'm going to keep him. That blue-green color is one of my favorites.

Gen 6 -

Gen six got me away from Okapi, and pulled the tert a little closer in colour to the primary/secondary ranges.

Gen 7 -

Gen 7 saw a breed upgrade, and a pretty heir!

Gen 8 -

heir / mate

Gen 8 gave nothing, not even a breed upgrade. They're sitting on a nest right now, so should get the results for the next round soon!

Wind

Gen 5 -

I lost Thylacine, but the heir has really gorgeous colours. Cherub was an upgrade, too! These two are also nesting right now, should hatch right with the Arcane nest.

I can't have been as invested in this challenge, because I really don't remember this one at all... Looking back, I think this gen had no change from the previous one.

Gen 6 -

A breed upgrade, but we're still on Basic/Basic/Contour. I have gen 7 heir, but I need to search for a mate now. Big spoiler, gen 7 got no upgrades either! Won't update with the score because I need to do some exalting before I total it up.

Shadow legacy is still waiting for me to buy a mate, so nothing new for that one. And I'm up to speed for now! :D

These two look fantastic, so I'm hoping to get some beautiful babies.

In terms of the challenge, Theia is a Nocture whose genes are Twilight Falcon, Coal Safari, and Mist Basic. Her eyes are Plague Common.

As a Nocture, Theia automatically gives me four points. The Falcon gene can be bought in the treasure marketplace, so that gives me three points. Safari is the same, so that gives me three more points.

Theia gives me a total of 10 points, which is double to 20 because she is my heir. So the point total is 91.

Icestrike is an Imperial.

His genes are Robin Tapir, Robin Striation, and Steel Capsule.

As an Imperial, he gives me four points. Tapir can be bought with treasure, and that gives me three points. Striation can also be bought with treasure, so it is another three points. Capsule is an interesting gene, because it can only be obtained by crafting it throughout me with Baldwin, then paying a considerable sum of money. Genes like this are worth four points. Finally, Icestrike is the first instance of a double color. A double color happens if the same color appears on two different genes, and getting one adds three extra points. In Icestrike’s case, Robin shows up twice.

So Icestrike gives me 17 points, bringing the total up to 108.

Doing pretty good so far, it seems. But I still have to deal with really long waiting times… Hopefully, next month I should have something interesting.

I've finished this challenge for a wind legacy and I'm moving on to water next, as I don't have any watery permas in my lair yet. I did once have gen ones for each flight after a full egg hatch on my birthday, but that was a year ago and they're mostly long gone by now (RIP). Instead, I bought the first water G1 on the AH who met the all basic requirements and ended up spending 15Kt on this guy:

Wings are already blue, that's good, hopefully we can keep 'em there. Guardians are the water breed, so that's excellent too (although the final dragon will be changed to a fae so I can keep them anyway but the thought is nice). Not super thrilled about sanguine, that's about as far away from blue as you can get, but we've got all 10 generations to nudge it back in the right direction.

A search for water females under 10kt/10g in the AH with filters for all the common breeds and genes only, and our lucky patriach is going to be keeping house with this lovely lady:

Winterwing cost me 15,000 treasure when my limit was 40,000. Therefore, she gives me four points, and an additional five for being a rare breed.

Her genes also look promising. She has Eldritch Iridescent, Blood Facet, and Saffron Circuit. Her eyes are Plague Common. The Iridescent gene can be bought with gems, so it is worth five points. Facet can also be bought with gems, so it's another five points. Circuit is yet another gem gene, giving five points for the third time.

It took me a long time to find these two, and they both look spectacular, so hopefully I will get some promising results. I guess I will find out in a little less than a month.
