TOPIC | Offspring Color "Restrictor"
Currently, it can be fairly frustrating to try and get the color scheme of a parent dragon and just get brand new colors not present in either parent. I think a solution to this would be an item applied to a nest before breeding begins that limits the offspring's colors to that of the parents.
For example, breeding a copper/white/black dragon with a gold/yellow/azure dragon would only result in offspring with those 6 colors (gold/yellow/black, copper/white/azure, gold/white/black, etc.)

This could be implemented in a number of ways. It could only have higher chances to just use parent colors, it could just guarantee the colors being from a certain range around the parent colors, etc.

@Braxiations Welcome to Flight Rising! I'm not sure if you are aware but possible hatchling colors are determined by the shortest arc between the colors of the parent dragons: This is why you're seeing some unexpected colors in the secondary and tertiary slots. As far as the suggestion goes, I don't see that this is really needed. Taking into account how the system works and choosing parents with the color ranges you want is already fairly easy.

I want to live in Theory. Everything works there.

Have you checked the Gem MP for Gene and Breed scrolls before buying an AH listing from me ending in 5g?
Welcome to Flight Rising!

Just as Nightwind said the "tightness" of the colour range determines the kids, here's one tool to more easily visualise how close the parents colours are

Replies may be slow, so sorry ;w;
It could make breeding projects easier, but I'm not sure how necessary it would be. If it was a one-time-use item it could be a decent treasure sink though. I guess I'm on the fence about it.

thats just how breeding works; i dont think it should be changed.

there are always ways to find dragons with similar colors to produce similar offspring
