Flight Rising Discussion

I'm not sure how many players know, but one of my goals on here is to breed dragons that somewhat resemble the FR deities. I do realize that I can't get them *exactly* like the deities, so I make do with just the colors and the breeds they represent. However, I have a dilemma. I am not sure of all of the deity genders.

So far I have

Guardian dragons - Tidelord (Male)
Snappers - Earthshaker (Male)
Spirals - Windsinger (Male; I currently have this one)
Fae - Lightweaver (female??)

Ridgeback/Wildclaws - Stormcatcher (Male; though Stormcatcher looks more like a nocturne...)

The one I am missing are (corresponding species wise)

Icewarden (Male)
Plaguebringer (Male)
Plaugebringer (Female)
Flame Caller (Female)
Shadowbinder (Female)
Gladekeeper (Female)


So what do you think the above are? I know I will be needing to borrow nests in the corresponding element (ice, plague, etc) to make sure the eyes are right, since I'm a Windy. XD

the deities don't really have genders but are called such anyways, most people say Plaguebringer is a female! Lightweaver is also widely considered female :) I agree with you though! Anyone is welcome to use whatever pronouns for the deities, tho

Flamecaller (coatls, banescales) - Female
Windsinger (spirals, skydancers) - Male
Tidelord (guardians) - Male
Lightweaver (pearlcatchers, imperials) - Female
Shadowbinder (nocturnes) - Female
Stormcatcher (ridgebacks) - Male
Gladekeeper (wildclaws) - Female
Plaguebringer (mirrors) - Female
Icewarden (tundras, gaolers) - Male
Arcanist (faes) - Male

Mirrors go to plague mom!

All of this info is in the encyclopedia, but here's a quick list!

Male deities:
Tidelord (corresponding breed: Guardian)
Earthshaker (Correponding breed: Snapper)
Windsinger (Corresponding breeds: Spiral and Skydancer)
Arcanist (Corresponding breed: Fae)
Icewarden (Corresponding breeds: Tundra and Gaoler)
Stormcatcher (Corresponding breed: Ridgeback)

Female deities:
Shadowbinder (Corresponding breed: Nocturne)
Gladekeeper (Corresponding breed: Wildclaw)
Flamecaller (Corresponding breeds: Coatl and Banescale)
Plaguebringer (Corresponding breed: Mirror
Lightweaver (Corresponding breeds: Imperial and Pearlcatcher)

Corresponding breed doesn't mean those may always be the best to represent each deity, but they're the breeds created by each deity, canon-wise.

Ed. to add: While the deities might not have physical genders, being gods and all, they DO have preferred pronouns. It feels kind of rude to misgender them when we know how all of them identify.

For the deities, I do prefer their preferred pronouns, it tends to make things a little easier for this particular project.
