I think the gene looks cool, but I generally dislike genes that don't do something with a dragon's belly. Can any of you show off some of your favorite filigrees so I can get an idea of how to make it work, if I decide to start using it?

Those are the two of mine that have it! Since it's not visible on the first boy otherwise, I included a scry of him without his clothes and accent.

Honestly I think it looks best on spirals just because of the gemstone on the forehead ;P! I do like the gene in general and plan to add at least a few more in my lair, but I find filigree a little difficult to work with. I bet it probably works best on primaries like iridescent and metallic and whatnot.

I personally like it best when it meshes with the dragon's eye color or brings something different to their genes, otherwise it tends to look either overcrowded or too plain. Hard to work with, definitely, but really pretty on some dragons!
