Do the same items always make the same material? I thought it was random as far as the color result.

Cookiespudding you'll always get a random colouration from the item you put in, you won't always get ooze from bones! Also putting in apparel gets you slime, familiars muck etc, more over
here! You can find visual guides for items you can create, I can't find it right now though!
