In warrior cats books, cats live in clans and have two part names like Icewing instead of names like William and Livvy. Kits are what they call their kittens. Also, doctor, herbalist, hunter, and scout aren't ranks. There are warriors which hunt and fight and protect clan borders, kits who stay in camp, elders who are retired warriors and stay in camp, apprentices who are training to be warriors, medicine cats who are like doctors, the deputy who organizes patrols and helps the leader, and the leader who is like the clan leader I guess.
