How does the elvish script work? Is it just a direct translation, 1 to 1 letter?

@firiath Also interested in the elvish script. Wouldnt mind getting my username in that if it's possible? Or does it have to be a phrase/sentence?

It can be anything - it doesn't need to be a full on sentence. Tengwar is a completely different alphabet, so it's basically transliterating it into something that uses the alphabet to get the best approximation of the sound of the word. It can be kinda hard sometimes, depending on the word/s, but it usually works out pretty well. I'm not translating anything into a different language, so it's not too hard for me.
