Dressup is such a key part of this game for me that initially ancients didn't have too strong of a draw for me. But I think being into geneing gen1s and collecting accents eventually made me kinda go: well. That's dressup, innit? Here I am with a handful of these beasties now. I'll share my favorites! She doesn't have any ancient-exclusive genes, but look at that thing! I loved her design enough to make some art, it's in her bio (don't want to clog the thread lol) [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/66109570][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/661096/66109570_350.png[/img][/url] Auraboas were a surprise favorite, the unique genes they get and how nicely they wear some parallel genes caught my eye. I enjoy drawing them too, Piroska here also has art in her bio! [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/91862887][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/918629/91862887_350.png[/img][/url] Atemsis belongs in a different curated tab, hence why she stands out from her more earthy counterparts above, but I think this was the first permanent ancient I brought into my lair! I love both Veilspun poses, I love how they wear most genes, I want to brush their manes. Need to make art of her at some point! Right now she's a nod to one of my favorite MTG sphinxes, Atemsis :)

She's memorized the location of every single book there.

Volkihar was one of the first dragons to enter my lair when I started playing FR! She was part of a breeding pair for a little while but I ended up retiring them pretty quickly when I did not enjoy the results as much as I thought I would. She sits in my hib den now, but I really love her still. He is themed after Valstrax! I'm really proud of how he turned out and forever glad I found just the right dragon for it. Sure, the eyes coulda been better but I wasn't too picky at the time. She has a little lore in her bio to highlight her relationship with her brother and how much she wants to protect him and see him succeed. She's a beautiful XYZ and her tert is opposite of her brother (who has branches) and as a combo they're just soooo pretty. While one of my newest dragons he's become and instant favorite, say hi to my chess player, Sweet Violet Tea! A menace to sea life everywhere. Phelan was the first ancient that I breed and decided to keep! So he holds a special place in my little ol' heart.
