yo. i appreciate that we have a toggle for animated / static effects, but a lot of the ones we have are very eyestraining. thought i'd put out a suggestion for a toggle to fully disable effects on the player's end.

in my head users that have the effects disabled wouldn't see them in forum images, but could toggle them on and off for individual dragons and/or sitewide for themselves through the effect ui that comes up when you hover over a dragon picture on the forums, on the dragon's profile, or in your own account settings.

Support.

I wouldn't use it but I can see why some people need it.
Honestly the static ones are more of an issue than the animated ones!

(Also, while we're at it, how come staff still hasn't added an overwrite for people with animations of in system settings? Very few of those people can't handle any motion at all, even if we're assuming that's only used for accessibility >>)

If you want post-apocolyptic Plague-flight lore, check out the Everwastes tab!
If you want a just-for-fun pink sparkly Arcane lair, check out the rest of my page!

Either way, I hope you have fun ^^
Support. I’ve never had issues with eye strain in the past, and yet the new Sixteen Bit and Patterned Pixels effects both genuinely hurt my eyes. I appreciate the existing ability to turn effect motion off, but if we’re going to have effects like these that cause eye strain without moving, then for accessibility’s sake, we really do need the ability to disable them altogether. This feature is rapidly becoming unpleasant.

Support, I would also love to be able to choose which effects I toggle on or off because some of them are good but others hurt.

appreciate the support, y'all! i'm glad it's not just a me problem! with flight rising's push for accessibility settings over the past year or so (which i'm incredibly grateful for and fully support!), i was really surprised that they released a very eyestraining new item without an opt-out toggle. the static toggle definitely helps me personally, but being able to toggle them off altogether would be soooo ideal :'D

I agree some are painful to look at, but I also want to be able to see what some dragons look like without effects.

support. Even if I don't have an issue with most effects, it'd be useful to have because definitely not everyone can handle the eyestrain. Hell, I can imagine that if I'm having a bad day, some of the effects could definitely overwhelm me!

Support, I personally love patterned pixels and my eyes can handle it fine, but I will never say no to a toggle for something that impacts other people like this.

i'd love a way to turn them off temporarily on people's profiles so i can see what the dragon looks like underneath without having to open up the scry or the dressing room so i can see it with the outfit on (this would also be helpful for forum games)

some of those new marva effects are seriously hard to look at (the dot matrix one doesn't look good conceptually but also gives me eyestrain on top of it)
