I originally intended to give her peacock before eclipse came out for modern dragons, so now I'm not sure if flare quite suits the rest of the look? What would you suggest?

Eclipse looks very nice, I wouldn't. I'd just find a nice skin to go with it

I'd suggest to change it, if you are not satisfied with the flair. Peregrine, butterfly, and saturn all look really good imo.
