Doesn't seem like it- Marva's little glitchy self seems to have gone poof. Probably just backend stuff and maybe to make sure the chest contents work if they're gonna be effects or somethin'?

Friday's maintenance is to turn on the non-joke April Fool's 2025 event rewards! This is when the event 'chests' (the floppy disks for this year) stop turning into different colored chests and instead reward the actual event item variant.

the event rewards are totally effects imo! we wouldn't need maintenance if they were just going to be scenes or familiars or something

I don't want to squash speculation and hype right now, but it's also important everyone's on the same page. The maintenance isn't for what's going inside the chest, but the actual switch from the joke chests to real chests, and then filling them with the appropriate event reward.
If we try to make this switch while players are active on the site, there's a good chance players will open empty chests. That happened last year during an event and we had to throw the site into a surprise maintenance. Then we had to run reports and crosscheck who opened an empty chest so we could make it right. So with [i]six[/i] event chests from Marva this year? Maintenance!
Feel free to speculate! Hype responsibly! Just keep in mind that its the [i]mechanics [/i]of the event chests themselves require the maintenance, not the item going into the chest.
