that is so bizarre, maybe they bought it by accident?? i've never had that happen to one of mine tho

I can think of a few theories but i'm unsure what the answer actually is.
1. somehow didn't realize they bought a 90g g1? (unlikely)
2. Are so rich that exalting was easier than selling if they changed their mind
3.accidental when running fodder if they do that?

I’ve even done it myself where I’ve bought an expensive G1 (within the 50g to 300g range), regret it and exalted it. In my experience, it’s faster to exalt it than to have to put it up on the AH and wait for someone to bite. I’ll just get the gems back some other way //shrugs

I've had a few experiences like this, but the wildest one was when someone bought one of my lvl 25 dragons, gave it a scatterscroll, and exalted it all on the same day
Some people have buyer's regret and would rather exalt than try to sell again! I've done the same but usually only on relatively low-cost purchases <100g

Had similar happen! I noticed in a few cases before I saw it exalted, the expensive dragon swapped owners.
I think a common explanation is: someone bought the dragon on impulse/thought they could make a good scry/thought it would work for a project, then later realized it wasn't gonna work for them. Rather than waiting to resell it for a similar price, they sold it at fodder price or similarly cheap because 90g wasn't a big loss to them and they just want the space free again. Someone else bought and exalted it.
I've done similar too, not expensive G1's but random dragons above fodder price (15kt/g+). I realize it's not what I need and just quicksell it (or train/exalt myself if I'm feeling ambitious)

i had someone buy a g1 from me completely gened it up then exalted it. i too was confused lol. it was a really beautiful dragon they made.

I once sold a g1 and was delighted to see it gened and wearing a skin of the new owner's creation. They advertised the skin using the dragon as a model but I guess they didn't need it after they finished printing their skin because the dragon was exalted a few days after. They probably made a ton on printing the skin so a few hundred kt probably wasn't much to them :D (iirc this was before the Reskin site and dressing room were a thing)
