incredubly real of you. my one (1) canonically trans dragon is trans because i thought she was a girl when i got her
i am not rich enough for silscrolls tho. so. shes staying in the m pose.
also her outfits kinda wekrd in the f pose
non-scrolled trans dragons are incredibly valid. I have a dragon who I was planning to swap to mpose so he became he/him. but then he grew up and I gave him an outfit and decided I liked it better in fpose. but the pronouns stuck

many of my dragons get pronoun'd based on whatever Vibe they have
some i can sniff out Immediately as You're Definitely Trans (shoutout to two recent lineage dragons i got who both ended up trans bc i impulsively went "oh shes cute" and "oh hes cute" before noticing the sex markers. Assigned Gender At Vibe Check)
some others i kind of know aren't truly cis but also aren't obviously trans for a while and they just get to chill
and some others get trans'd in large swaths as i go through my lair and actually list pronouns for everyone
then there's some who just. Refuse Gender. and so end up being called they or it even if they're not Explicitly trans or nonbinary
at this point i'm pretty familiar with what mechanical sex each adult pose corresponds to, but tbh it's just not something i take into consideration. most breeds don't even have enough dimorphism to be significant. as far as i'm concerned, the adult poses are just examples of nongendered adults of that breed just assigned to different mechanical sexes for the ease of gameplay so they can be identified at a glance when selecting mates. there's nothing at all about the poses that's inherently gendered at all (with notable exceptions for ridgebacks and guardians and minor exceptions for pearlcatchers and skydancers, who do have some elements of dimorphism and is something i at least Consider when thinking about that dragon's gender - i.e. im planning a trans masc guardian who's very sensitive about his beard being noticeably shorter compared to other masculine guardians)
as a result not all of my trans dragons are silscrolled, and eventually i might also end up with cis dragons who Are silscrolled. pose, gender, sex, and pronouns are all separate and are all assigned purely on Vibes

limes, benrey, or belial || they/them & neos
-- fast coli farming --
on at weird times
for my dragons - pose =/= pronouns. please use they/them for any of them unless otherwise specified

No. When I do it, it's very deliberate. Also, not everyone in a silhouette scroll is trans, nor are all my unscrolled dragons cis.

I didn't check which gender this dragon was when I hatched it and in my mind, because it's 1 off XYX and I hatched this female double at the same time, they were sisters and it just kinda stuck. I like the gaoler m pose way more anyway so I won't scroll it, but yeah. you are now she

i tend to think of all my dragons as some flavor of trans unless or until i decide otherwise tbh

I'm very must do good a breeding pet sim brained so not usually. If i'm working on the dragons lore I put more thought into it(im personally fond of neopronouns and dont remember all of those off the dome). That said I've for sure used they/them on some enough that i need to just update the bios. but to be honest I also dont really use pronouns as like gender signifiers either; I'd hope the lair ends up oops all pronouns though!

This is probably my cis privilege speaking, but pronouns and transness hadn't been much on my radar until this thread made me think about it.

I had been accustomed to thinking of Quinn as a visual allusion to allyship, but when I thought about it the he/him pronouns fit better, so there they are. I don't feel a need to change his pose.

Brightness just looks better with a beard, and I am mildly salty that this thread made me realise I had to spend 400 gems to give her one.

i saw lairs where people would say all their dragons are men or all women so i decided to make mine all genderless since i didn't see anyone else ever do that. adol is an exception since he's a real character.
