Hi! I'd like to contribute to the gift pool with a vertical portrait like these (of a dragon of the winner's choice): [img]https://i.imgur.com/22balaT.jpeg[/img] [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/permalink/reply/58158781]More examples here.[/url] I don't really stick to ritual too closely besides having Christmas dinner at my partner's grandma's place, and New Year's at her dad's. We have several spectacular cooks in each generation of the family, so one big tradition around here is tremendously good food lol. Some traditional Mexican dishes from grandma & her sisters, others influenced by our cousin's Gastronomy education & stuff our aunt comes across living in the US (she made a ludicrously tasty spiced chocolate "log" thing this time around). My birth family was super religious, so there was pressure to perform specific actions on specific days, but now that I've been sort of adopted into this new one, the most important tradition is just celebrating the time we have together. I'm new to FR so still figuring out my lair's lore, but I do have a breeding project influenced by Mexica (Aztec) and other Mesoamerican mythology- so I'm inclined to think these dergs would celebrate a version of Panquetzaliztli, the winter solstice in which the Mexica patron god Huitzilopochtli is born.

Holiday Tradition: Everyone opens a present Christmas Eve and it's new pajamas to wear that night!

A holiday tradition for me and my folks is giving each other ornaments! I always get an animal ornament of some sort.

This years NotN look is particularly good I think, very green! Looks like the roast leg of lamb might be getting phased out :O New traditions include homemade perogies! Sent in some raffle items!

Hmmm I never really celebrated the holidays with enough regularity to have traditions for them ahaha ^ ^; And I'm also more of a spooky season type

I did Secret Santa this year and that was a lot of fun <: So maybe that would be a fun tradition to keep on doing. In reality the tradition I would want to start is maybe to make xyz thing every year but I haven't figured out what xyz thing is. Maybe I should make an ornament every year c:

You had made a post to share some holiday traditions or a holiday dragon, but I don't think I saw a contribution to the prize pool yet. Please let me know if I missed something. There have been a lot of incoming messages and crossroads trades these last couple weeks, so it is entirely possibly.

I received a prize contribution from each of you. (Some things were sent in ahead of time, and you might not have even realized they would be used for this raffle.) However, I haven't seen a post that would indicate you are officially entering. Please enter! I have SO MANY prizes to give away that every participant will receive something. (Don't make me go through the participant list over and over!)

Okay, I'll bite!

For myself, when my kids were littles, we would celebrate the Winter Solstice by leaving electric lights off after sundown, a practice I sometimes refer to as "dinner in the dark." Each year I bought a new lantern or candle holder or accessories as gifts. I think the favorite gift was a box of strike-anywhere matches!

For my dragons, during the NotN I drag out all the NotN familiars. I have most of them assigned, but every year there are more, so...? This year I finally got organized. You can see my Notn famiiar chart HERE.
