yeah i’m really gonna be disappointed if it’s another “bookwyrm”. i don’t really like aethers and i certainly don’t want there to be an aether clone as the breed we as light flight members have been waiting for FOREVER. i really hope they lean into that majestic side more :/

yeah this is my stance with it
if its not gonna be epic or something, let it be unique and stand on its own legs at least. Give it it's own niche to cling onto

Somehow I get this feeling there seem to be a lot of people conflating headcanons and actual site lore.
I get it, eldritch stuff, necromancy and what not are cool and intriguing concepts especially when combined with something often interpreted as "good" and "innocent" as light but let's be honest. Aside from Emperors there's nothing official actually linking them to any of that. And even those are barely even light related given that they were stated to not be purely made of the Lightweavers powers.
Personally I'm glad not everything in light gets associated with that and I appreciate it that we might get to see a more lighthearted, whimsical part of it.
Flanderisation is a term that comes to mind.
Besides scholars are supposed to be the actual theme of light not stuck up arrogant brats. A bookworm seems very fitting for that.
