[center]So I've been thinking about trying my hand on a new hobby since drawing hasn't been as fullfilling as it used to be for a long time now. And 2-3 months ago I ordered tools and wood and got started! It's really fun and if you get the chance to try it I can only recommend it. I need better brushes to paint my figures :I [img]https://i.imgur.com/UvLNZ0b.jpeg[/img] For my dad c: Gonna post two or three bigger projects in the next post so this one doesn't get too long.

[center]Some 'bigger' (not really) projects that took some time: [img]https://i.imgur.com/XyODqcL.jpeg[/img] Took forever and still turned out a little too asymmetrical in my opinion but decided to paint it anyway: [img]https://i.imgur.com/INN9wlf.jpeg[/img] Painted! (really need better, fine brushes) [img]https://i.imgur.com/OKqLnI9.jpeg[/img] This is still a work in progress! I plan on making a full doll out of them with wooden head, hands and feet. [img]https://i.imgur.com/PQTkuU8.jpeg[/img] I might give them a new paint job as I'm not happy with this one. :/ [img]https://i.imgur.com/xhmBMZ0.jpeg[/img] Bird gang! c: Already started the process of painting these guys! The chubby one is done and the owl and ringneck have their first coat of paint too.

Oh my goodness those are so fantastic, i've been trying to do a bit of wood carving too so I've gotta say the smoothness you got is beyond amazing.

I really love the shark and the face!

thank youu! I did notice some pieces of wood are more prone to break and harder to carve but basswood is really nice!
I also use sandpaper to smooth everything once I'm done

@eeep Very relaxing! Sometimes I'm a little stressed when starting something more complex like the skull but after the first few cuts it's just very satisfying
