On February 16th, the day before the Quirinalia festival (when a nest was scheduled to be hatched according to the royal announcement), [b]three[/b] hatchlings emerged into the Empire ... These dragons are hatchlings 10 - 12 of Fortuna and Vespasian's third child, Trajan, and his second mate (following the exaltation of his first), Theta. This is a pure G3 veilspun nest. But what does this mean? When has a nest ever hatched ... [i]early?[/i] "Are the hatchlings alright?" a voice calls from within the great, labyrinthine tunnel system. And they are. They are. But it appears Trajan has fallen out of favour with this unprecedented decision, or perhaps he's never held a significant interest in becoming emperor, anyway. Whatever the case, the Emperor and Empress are furious with his lack of communication and his delivery of uncelebrated hatchlings. He claims, now, that they were born on the proper date, but their papers say otherwise. And the record keeper for hatchlings born in the lair never makes mistakes. These children, accurately numbered and granted official papers though they are, will not be recognized by the family as future candidates for the seat of the Emperor/Empress. "They are to be banished!" a sharp voice announces. A harsh fate, especially for little ones not even an hour old ... But who are the record keepers to argue with the likes of the Emperor? "And nor shall any of Trajan's line from here forward hold the seat of Emperor or Empress! For he has fallen out of rhythm with the swarm and disrupted the magic. His entire line, from here on out, shall carry that stain."
