This is me with my Marigold/Vermilion/Abyss project that I scryed when Chry/Mala first cames out. [morphology=4069901] The only female one is inactive and bred loads and the only male that's not exalted is someones perma, so I've had to breed my own. Most of the ones that give a reasonably tight range have been males so finding suitable dragons has been a struggle. I've had to use a G1 and used multiple breed change scrolls to make the pairs breedable. Hopefully I will have a better time with my second generation pair as they have a better range. I've definitely had this issue with multiple breeding projects over the years. It's so distressing LOL.

Eeeeyep...its happened to me. Sometimes when one of my breeding pairs throws a pretty I'll check to see if it is a rare color combo, if it is I put it in a tab in my hibden that acts as a little preserve in case anyone wants them! :3

I've dealt with that for so many dragons! Often times the colors itself isn't suuuper rare search wise but at this point I consider dead lairs exalted. My first project had the dragon in colors o wanted but the owner would only stud. Which totally get! Fantastic murder puppy, I had a breeding project but wasn't getting anywhere. Then I checked the search and someone else hatched him. Perfect name too. white/flaxen/rose with earth eyes... none exist.

i need it for a fandragon, and the "best" part is im not even certain about using those colors. no one else has a fandragon of this character, though, i think.

(hana from ojamajo doremi... i did a little perusal through all the dragons named hana, and im pretty sure none were of her.)

I don't personally have breeding projects, but I know people do so I always try to save my funky g1 hatches in case it's someone's dream colors lol

All 5 Pink/Pear/Maize dragons are exalted; the latest were exalted 2 years ago! None of them were Nature dragons, so I started a breeding project, and fortunately, there was a fodder dragon and a 3 year old gen one dragon perfect for it! It's funny how this all started from a random scry I grew attached to! My current fandragon project requires a lot of strange and/or goofy color combos to match the team colors of each Blaseball team, so I run into this sort of thing a LOT.

Half the time I expect a color combo to be more common because of the accent colors on some genes, and there are like, none active...

I find it truly fascinating.
