Rubino (#113160) was the first dragon I ever bought and she's remained unchanged since that day. I like to think of her as a time capsule; this is the kind of dragon a new user could afford back then. Even a single gene could hike the price of a dragon by several thousand and tertiaries were a luxury (not even underbelly had released at this point). She's also a child of two exalted progenitors, which again, was very common to see at the AH since very few people had the time to set up pairs at this point.
But like MyrrhDarkwing said a few posts back, since I started so early all of my oldies feel like regular dragons. It's weird to think they're something noteworthy [emoji=tundra tongue size=1]

Amazing post! Thank you for spreading awareness. It was very informative. While I don't have any oldies and don't really plan on collecting them either (I'd love to have one, but money orz), I love learning more about the early history of FR, so thank you for this lovely post!

I know I have a number of low-to-mid 7 digits, only one of which is unbred, but I keep most of them for sentimental value as I got them for free or fodder-priced as a newbie. My Daraja was the only one I had to work for...her previous owner wanted 2k+ festival currency that took me most of the week to grind for, lol. Most lower digits in my color-range are either inactive or WAY out of my price range.

Basil is turning 9 this year! I actually found her as fodder, scattered her and dressed her up. She misses the 7 digit mark by probably a few months though.
