man....out of all the great songs that Glass Animals have made....why did Heat Waves have to be the one that got super popular in the mainstream
[/quote]
Out of all the "songs that get played so much you start to hate it" that exist it's definitely this one. Fun the first time you hear it, not so fun the thousandth time you hear it.

luv most of oli xl's output (even while a few of the tunes might scrape my brain slightly off-ly cos of some detail or other sensorily); barely listen to heretic
even while i Dont hate it as such - unrelatedly to it having blown up a bit on tiktok even, but that did not help its case lol, mainly that its such a desolate sounding track and im never in that kinda mindspace

love my chemical romance. "i don't love you"... not really. it's lackluster to me.
maybe a hot take idk. the more lukewarm one is fob's "mania"

feel free to kill me, but i unironically like imagine dragons and im tired of pretending i dont. i HATE Thunder, though. we could also do with playing Believer a little less

i tried, trust me i tried. but bounce man by twenty one pilots.
i LOVED scaled and icy i am the average redecorate fan i eat that song up like its my last meal and i'm on death row but. bounce man. only skip.
its just not. them. even compared to the rest of the album.
even old regional at best songs with the bad mixing out do it. at least its relatable. i am neither bouncing nor a man.
i need marina to release something conceptual again. i miss froot and the older albums.
Love Tally Hall, but you will never catch me listening to Banana Man. I KNOW people love it but I just can't get behind it.
Also. User above me reminded me of my unpopular Marina opinion - Electra Heart is her weakest album, closely followed by Love + Fear. It's still great, but it has the highest quantity of songs I barely listen to. (Obviously, her number one album is The Family Jewels, followed by Froot and Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land which switch places in my mind fairly frequently.)

i'm a diehard green day fan, and nimrod is one of my favourite albums indefinitely, but... haushinka... i just, idk. i don't like it and i can't make myself like it any more than i can make myself dislike the rest of the album. it's so sad, because if it were in another album, nimrod would be my golden album. it's got some of the best songs in there/

In the past few years I've basically stopped enjoying nearly all of Stray Kids' new music. Unfortunately their popularity only goes up and up and most of the newer fans don't know the older music that I love so much so. After about 5 years it's time to move on.
Some specific examples would be:
Hall of Fame
Comflex(only good thing about this one is my bias's lines)
Megaverse
These are also songs that they perform very often now. I can't stand all these songs that are like "we're so awesome look at how awesome we are" in the lyrics. Don't tell me you're great, show me.
(Everyone else in this thread has great music taste and here I am complaining about my Korean boy band...)

I totally get it! kpop specifically for me is very easy to come and go from groups depending on sound. I am actually the complete opposite where I did not like their older music that much and some of it I do not want to listen to at all. I have been around since their debut and I really liked the title miroh and side effects and some bsides but very rarely. Once they started doing stuff in 2020 and beyond I started liking it a lot more. That's just how it goes.
