@Meadbhb
Thank you! He does have decent colors.
Five eggs is nice, but this generation doesn't pair up. No pairing between the lineages until the 11th generation to get the final Heir. It didn't sound so long until I started. lol

My second generation of hatchlings is here! And my presumptive Heirs are pretty nice! O.O

Should I change the rules to allow the selection of the Heir if both dragons to be bred are both girls or both boys instead of using a random number generator?
It would make it easier, but the lineage would still have to be started over if both were girls or both were boys with no possible alternate?
Or should I just keep breeding to gen 1s, then have the 11th generation breed the lineages together and just try for good colors/genes?
I'm thinking of all the time and space I will have invested in this, and the idea of having to start one or both lineages all over again is just kind of a lot to think about. o.O

BelleHatfield got great colors!
Not sure about the rule change since my brain is mush right now. But I think, making sure it stays fun is important. What is the difference between using rng or choosing yourself? Do you mean bringing in another dragon from outside the challenge in cases of all the same gender results that cannot be bred with the intended heir?

@HSoup
Thank you! Yes, she did! :D
I wanted to restrict it to the firstborn as Heir, with RNG as a back up to make it a bit harder. But I realized that keeping it so strict could require multiple restarts, which would make it more of a chore than fun.
If alllowing choice makes it more fun but keeps restarting as a possible event, say both Generation A and F have only females, maybe that's the way to go?
I don't want it too easy, but I don't want it to take forever or frustrate people either. o.O

@HSoup
That is true and what I was thinking about last night actaully. Great minds. lol
I'm also thinking it may be better to just say it should be the firstborn, then try a RNG if they are unbreedable, then choose one if that is the last resort to make it work.
Then the only way to force a restart of the lineage would be if all options are unbreedable, and such a rule would only impact either lineage starting with the sixth generation.
Does that make sense to you, or does it just sound better in my head than out loud or written down? o.O
