@hayum
Thank you very much!! That means a lot <3

Yeah! Overseer is an owl of sorts, I absolutely adore them and all the different legends and myths surrounding them. I might share tidbits of his story one day, but a lot of it for now will just exist in my head haha
He's a little confusing because he has a few different forms I draw him in (The big one with teeth, a more normal looking owl, and then as well as a human)
Thank you very much!! That means a lot <3

Since discord is no longer viable for image hosting, I have deleted many posts off of this thread, so if there's a lot missing.. That's why. Anywho, working on some stuff slowly, here's some new to replace the old that is now gone-- and repost some old stuff.

Since I get this question a lot, "What program do you use?"
Three, actually, it just depends on what I feel like. On this post here, there's only pieces that I've made on IBIS paint X and Procreate. However, I also use Krita, and I tend to use it for more of my bigger painting projects.
In general:
Painterly work and commissions usually are done on krita
Roughly, heavily textured pieces tend to be done on procreate
Smooth, heavily digital-looking pieces are done on IBIS. Many of my pieces with very soft, "glowing" looking lineart are done on there as well.
All programs have different strengths and weaknesses, so I tend to switch between them a lot- exporting pieces between different apps/programs. Krita is very good for all-around usage, having a wide variety of brushes- both community made and default. Very solid decision, even more so since it's free and open source.
Procreate has an AMAZING texture engine, far far better than Kritas in my opinion. It also has a lot of amazing brushes and a large, active community as well as good animation software in Procreate Dreams (Procreate Dreams is far better than Krita's animation software). However, personally, I have a lot of hangups as you need to click 5 things to do one thing, whereas on Krita you have hot keys, and ibis also has easier QOL usage for me.
IBIS is really good, but has ads (if you've got the free version like me) which is annoying but not the worst. IBIS has good brushes but a very poor quality "Texture engine" and is far more suited to smooth, heavily polished/digital-looking styles. Its one of the first drawing programs I used though so it has a soft spot for me, but in general I do actually like the program and the brushes, though the brush engine is.. Difficult to understand. It and procreate both have very confusing brush engines, Krita's is very easily understandable to me.
TBH though, give me some ink pens and a pencil you found of the floor in the backrooms of a highschool and printer paper? I'll make you a masterpiece bro, nothing beats traditional art.
I LOVE ink and markers <33 Ballpoint pens are very fun too

Since I kinda went on a tirade about traditional art I went and found some of my old stuff from when I was about 15 or so, so a few years ago
None of my digital art really compares to what I can do traditionally, and I really should start drawing in my sketchbook more.
I also really like colored pencils

The deer character with a bunch of horns is a reoccurring guy, it's my goal to ATTEMPT to redraw him every year and see how much I've improved, gotta draw him again soon
