Out of nowhere, Cotton Candy found herself the adoptive mother of five orphaned children. She hadn't exactly planned on this, but the little ragtag group of hatchlings tugged at her heartstrings. None of the children were actually related, but they had formed their own mini family, and somehow she had gotten dragged into it the moment she invited them in to take shelter from the cold.
Her sibling had perished around a year ago, and things hadn't been the same since. She felt hollow with grief and withdrew from her friends. But with the children's help, she slowly learned to open up again. The little ones love to brag to anyone that will listen that their mama saved them, but little do they know that they saved her in their own way, too.
