• If a dragon reaches 25 it "retires." This dragon is unable to die or be affected by challenges, locking in its job from being taken, however, it cannot battle in the coliseum or breed due to age. (see modified rules below)
 • Names are generated randomly if you do not have a Name Scribe in your kingdom.
 • You cannot use genes or apparel on any dragon without the appropriate Tailor/Alchemist jobs. If you pick up a gene or apparel in the coliseum, a dragon on your team at the time can use it right away if they want.

 • If a dragon changes jobs through a challenge they keep the lives they have gained from their past job.
 • Except for the assassin and engineer, You don’t have to do dragon jobs daily.

Their first goal was simple enough: find something to eat.

The trio had been walking for hours - rather swiftly - to get ahead of the guards. The moon crept across the sky, softly illuminating their path, as if to beckon them onwards, but Kestrel was rather unhappy about traveling on such a bright night. There was little cover in the desert, and it seemed to stretch on like this, barren, for miles in every direction.

"Are you sure there's a canyon nearby, Siccitas?" Kestrel asked, tail flicking as he glanced around at the terrain.

"I'm almost certain. It's been referenced in so many books, it has to be this way," nodded Siccitas. The guardian sounded cool and confident, which did reassure Kestrel. Saxa, however, was not convinced.

"H-how will we know when we see it?" she asked, her flank pressed against Kestrel's. She was scanning the area with eyes wide as saucers, taking in the scenery with a fearful gaze.

"Things will get rockier. You'll know," said Siccitas, eyes still trained on the expanse ahead of them. He seemed locked in, confident in his stride. The two skydancers treaded cautiously, but followed nonetheless.

Two eggs lay peacefully in the sand beneath a small overhang, a perfectly secluded location that seemed carved out for exactly such purpose. Saxa lay curled around the eggs, tail sweeping in front of them as if to protect them from any desert dangers that may encroach on their hiding place. Kestrel lay curled around her. They slept for most of the morning, with Kestrel and Siccitas alternating at their designated lookout point. While they had traveled far, the trio knew they had to stay on high alert. If they were caught now, the guards would have their heads for treason. The eggs would be confiscated, or worse, destroyed. When the sun had clambered its way to the top of the sky, Siccitas took to Kestrel’s post. “I’m going to look for supplies in the mountains,” said the royal. “Keep an eye on Saxa as well.” He doesn’t make it far. At the foot of the mountain, a bloody pile, more so than a dragon, hangs from the limbs of a dead tree. The only giveaway that this is a coatl and not carrion is the shimmering feathers akin to jewels that flutter limp in the wind. Kestrel, with trembling hands, lowers the dragon from the branches and carries her to Siccitas on his back. “Is she dead?” asks the guardian, craning his neck to sniff the stranger. “Not yet,” says the prince, gravely. “I’m taking her to Saxa. She may know what to do.” Saxa, who swore to not leave the nest, creeps out from beneath the overhang as Kestrel lowers the coatl to the ground. Words need not be exchanged; she knows why Kestrel has brought this to her. Laying her talons along the wounds, she murmurs healing words and gets to work. “Bring me my satchel,” she says to her mate, eyes not leaving the coatl. He nods, and quickly absconds. It isn’t until sunset that the stranger wakes up. Her eyes pink as cuts of strawberry, they roll aimlessly in her skull until they fix upon the dragons that stand nervously over her. To their surprise, she is willing to talk. Her name is Parodia, or so she says, and she is a traveling fortune teller who was ambushed by bandits. As she speaks she rights herself slowly, gingerly, but with the grace of a noble. “I suppose I’ve lost everything?” she asks, dryly. Saxa nods, and Parodia’s eyes darken. “I see. I’ll be out of your feathers by sunrise.” “Y-you can stay,” offers Siccitas, looking to Saxa for reassurance. She nods, slowly, before laying her talons atop Parodia’s. “We’ve lost everything, too.” [pinglist=13713] @KittyCowLexa Thank you! :D Also omg I am SO nervous for what lies in store for these guys T-T

By morning, there is a nest.
