Looking at Luciferin's skin, Is it similar to the swamp wolf where you can see a skeleton in their skin? The rid pieces in this image, are those bones? Is it like a mass with bones inside, or is it like a Kubone with bones on top?

This is the idea/vibe sketch I have so far. I imagine he is hauntingly disturbing but overwhelmingly beautiful at the same time. Here, he is wiping his head back, snarling but his ethereal form is roaring, hair flung about like a Friesian horse.

Oh wow that looks AMAZING already!
I didn't make the skin so I can't be 100% sure but I see them as bones, as labelled in the second image, yeah! I figured they would just sort of be like the Ghost gene but I LOVE the ethereal form concept and I'm fully into going that direction with it. Solid physical form, ghostly bone form on top.

Rio! I'd love a sort of angry/enraged expression on him. As for background, anything involving water is good!
He's also a fairly new character so I don't have a lot of art refs of him yet ^^; I hope the ones I have on there so far are useful but if you have any questions about his design just lmk!

Update! Starting the bases, adding color, and figuring out this background. I plan to work on this again tomorrow. I want to try and pull away from my normal method of grayscale with color overlays so I'm experimenting a bit with this.

Update, I have the majority of her face done except for the tattoos but was feeling unsure about the background. After looking up Lornar Pass' map, I envision her heading south toward the lake at the southern part of the pass. When I was looking up the gameplay of that region, it is more subtle in the lighting. Are you ok with a wintery sunset?

It's lovely. I suspect she isn't going to be blue-skinned? :D
The lighting in the region, much like everywhere else, depends on how much you like the game's post-processing effects. :)
A sunset is fine but yeah, if it could be more on the hazy, chilly side, that would be great!

Sorry about this skin, it was hard to tell in the reference image, the eyedropper tool grabbed a light blue but I'll fix it to be gray. I'll rework the background too, was watching more game play and I think I have a better idea to try.
