[nextcol][font=Candara][size=4]Did you live gloriously?
Is there a scent you still chase? A taste? One final happiness to savor, before you are opened to the sky and the earth claims your bones?
What regrets do you carry, shadows of unfulfilled wishes spilling into the pit of the grave before you?
No worries. Give us your shoulders and we will bear the weight. We always see it through-- to the end.

Whether from disease or age or injury, when a dragon is forced to come to terms with their mortality, the regrets of their lives rear their heads. In desperation and desire, many choose to seek out the Agonal.
Members of the Agonal take the dying wishes of dragons as commissions, and work to fulfill them by any means necessary. Whether it is protecting a hatchling to adulthood, fetching rare artifacts, making a long-pursued discovery, or chaperoning a dying dragon to a final vista, there is no limit to the type of task an Agonal might accept. Some even dedicate their entire lives to fulfilling just one wish, and wishes may be passed down through generations before they are completed.
This comes at a steep cost. Dragons who request the services of the Agonal must agree to willingly donate their bodies and their souls to the clan's use postmortem. Many end up as subjects of research for alchemy, medicine, and more. Others may be consumed, desecrated, or destroyed.

The Agonal resides in the Sepulcher Deep, which exists in the cliff side of canyons where the Scarred Wasteland meets the Dragonhome.
Plagueland growths run like veins through the stone, providing eerie lights in the deep dark of the sepulcher. Thousands of dragons' bodies are interred here, holes for catacombs interwoven with holes for burrows-- both lining the walls for miles.
