Origins
Charoite was something of a rapscallion.
She was raised as a strict Light acolyte. Her clan were all devout followers of the Lightweaver and to go against her was a direct threat to balance and peace as a whole. Charoite prayed and sacrificed in the name of Lightweaver religiously. She was revered as the purist of the Goddesses. And then the Sunbeam Ruins began to rumble and out of the ground came a nightmare.
Her faith crumbled just as her home did, and her prayers died with her family. She was totally, completely, lost. And it showed; she took to the streets and looked up at bright yellow eyes with fear and hatred. She thieved and lied her way to survive She struck down anyone in her path and she would plot. She would learn the ways of necromancy and she would destroy Luminax and show Sornieth what Light was really all about. Then one day, something in those Woods to the west, called to her.
It called her name. "I have what you seek," it would say. It would seduce her with dreams of Luminax and her family burning. So she went.
What she discovered in the Tangled Wood changed her.
