@TavishJur @Quebeal @ErInsomnia I think i'm zeroing on on an idea, but one thing's for sure, Arlund just doesn't use his wings, lol. I wanted a torso piece that kinda worked as a sort of corset to hold all the flowy fabric together. I also wanted the torso piece to serve as transition form the white to black. One priority with the outfit is for Arlund to feel luxuriously draped in cloths and silks, but not tangled, or difficult to move in. I found this dusty sage shawl torso piece, and it basically fit exactly what I wanted! It's layered but close to the body, and the piece itself goes from white to black, and I think it makes for a perfect transition! I also like the shoulder banner, because it adds to the noble aesthetic, to replace the cuirass. Everything else I picked out what I think went together best. It was pointed out that I could emphasize his purple a bit, and I tried really hard, but I couldn't make it all work with the current pieces that I know I wanted. (T-T maybe i'll give him more outfits later idk, i'm sorry, this is way more difficult that I thought it'd be). I found a better tail piece to help kinda eliminate all the pitch black on him, and let his koi and natural colors contrast with the tangle. AND I found this rose banner thing that kinda drapes off of the back of him, and I like how it adds to the flowiness. Not 100 percent on which color banner I should use, but I Like the transition to gold one, so he's not all dark colors but idk. MY FINAL DECISION seems to be between whether or not to add the grapes :| I like the grapes, but i also like everything else on his wings (like I said, man does NOT fly T-T). So i guess this is where I'm at rn. I definitely think these look better than the first one, so thank you all for your tips and suggestions, they really helped! I also kinda like how Arlund's incredibly decorated wings drape over him like a fancy canopy. The amount of plant based apparel kinda adds to his carefree nature I think. ahhh nice outfits! i like seeing your thought process and all the iterations of the outfit (definitely i can relate to indecision lol). i had looked at the dusty sage apparel before but didn't end up using them; i can see now that the combo of white to black is something you really want, and in that regard, i think the shawl is perfect for that transition!

i like the grapes on him (lol, duh) since they really fill out the "canopy" thing going on with the wings; it also gives the outfit that extra pop of color or visual interest that i like. but because the whole outfit isn't focused too much on purple, i don't think you'd lose anything if you kept them off! ultimately up to ya :)

edit: i don't know if you noticed, but the alabaster filigree banner is layering over the autumnal wreath on his head! simple apparel rearranging should fix that though.

I believe I have conclusively selected the third set. I'm keeping the grapes, lol. Now just to buy everything and gene him! (cries in poor T-T) It looks so awesome, I can't wait to draw him!
Only 3 more of his siblings to dress!
